The grand finale of creating tea blends for orders before the next growing and foraging season 🌿 I realized how little plant materials I have left...and I'm grateful! This means there are a lot of folks enjoying MB grown tea 🍵

Whether pipping hot ~ warm infusion ~ or iced...herbal teas are healing physically and emotionally.

🐈 Lol Before I could take the time to create teas I had to deal with the ruckus that I could hear arise in the garage. Chester the cat brought a live chipmunk in. The Golden Girls 🐕 🐕 did not give up until they had found the little Critter. The garage literally was turned upside down! Like a small scale hurricane had gone through it. I was lividly mad until I could do nothing but break down in sheer laughter at the site I walked into 🌀

Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone 💛 I had some fun looking back at pictures from around Easter time last year (2025)...

A week after Easter I went up to Gimli for some R&R and a reset.
We were not only collecting maple sap by now but boiling off - what a change this year as the sap has not even begun to flow!
James was perfecting mushrooms.
The chicks came shortly after Easter.
We had a market in Tolstoi.
4H ended and the kids spoiled me with treats.
I was creating face creams.
Every other day was sap collecting.

It seems spring is cautious in coming this year and so that brings a bit of a change in our routine. Nature knows best 🌿

Our winter work season has come an end 🙌 It has not been easy however, we worked for amazing people who made going to work feel so good!

Now it is time to shift gears...
Rest some.
Dream about spring and summer.
Plan the garden.
Imagine foraging.
Take time for our loved ones.
Perfect products.
Walk with the dogs and goats more.
Stare at the sun and stars.
Enjoy a gin n' tonic.
Get that pedicure my feet dreamt of ✔️
Thrive.

And yes...
We are moving - an hour east.
Not far, and yet, the whole homestead will be uprooted.
It will take time, patience, planning, building and work.
All the while we will be bathing ourselves in the JOY, the GIFTS, the GROWTH, the LESSONS and the immense GRATITUDE of past 5 years ♡

As my sanding day shirt says from the ancient scriptures...

Came home to the bubbies 🐐 today but no crying and wailing for their mama as soon as we drove up 🤔 l literally wait to hear them yell for me as we're driving up the driveway. Today they just lay there quietly watching me.

Strange I thought.

Anyway, got into my barn boots went out to feed everyone. As I opened up the goat barn door I realized that they had somehow gotten into their barrel that we store the alfalfa pellets in. By the looks of things they reeeeeeeally helped themselves!! 😱

They were not interested in their grain which is to be expected with just having had an all afternoon buffet.
And then the sad truth came over me - they only love me because I feed them 😭 😆 🤣

On the bright side 🌞 at least they need me!
