Empa Study

Empa Study Women who have had gestational diabetes have an increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes in the years after their pregnancy.

The Leadership Sinai Centre for Diabetes is conducting a research study to investigate how to protect the cells in the body that produces insulin in order to slow the progression of diabetes. ELIGIBILITY:
- Gestational diabetes in pregnancy within the past 3 years
- 20 to 50 years old
- Not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Willing to come for 6 study visits over 12 months
