Take three mindful breaths to anchor you back to the present moment and to create space for honoring and remembering... With gratitude, remember the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who served with bravery and honor during times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping (past and present).

With loving-kindness, gently say: May we all be at peace, May we all be held in compassion, May we all be free from suffering, May love, joy and equanimity be with all of us for now and always. Lest we forget...

Imagine taking a moment to reflect on all the areas of your life—career, relationships, health, finances, personal growth—and seeing them laid out like a map. The Wheel of Life is a tool designed just for that.  By rating each area from 1 to 10 (where 1 represents low satisfaction and 10 high satisfaction), you can quickly see which areas feel strong and which might need more focus.

Working through the Wheel involves setting intentional goals for lower-rated areas while maintaining what’s already working well, creating a roadmap toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Revisiting the Wheel regularly, like every few months, can help track your progress, aligning your actions with what truly matters to you.

As the end of the week approaches, I want to share this brief practice to help you check in with yourself. Mindfully checking in, and gently asking yourself, "how am I right now?" only takes several moments and involves pausing to observe your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment.

This practice helps increase self-awareness, reduce stress, and enhance emotional regulation.
*
To take care of yourself afterwards, acknowledge what you’ve discovered and respond with self-compassion. Engage in activities that nurture your well-being, such as deep breathing, stretching, or spending time in nature etc. Throughout the process, remain kind, open, and compassionate towards yourself.

Kintsugi teaches us that our flaws & imperfections are not something to hide but to celebrate. This practice transforms the cracks into unique & beautiful patterns, symbolizing resilience & the beauty of imperfection.

Kintsugi reminds us that in healing & mending, we become even more beautiful & whole, embracing our journey & the strength found in our scars. Just as a repaired vase is made more valuable by its golden seams, we too can find beauty & strength in our mended places, recognizing that our experiences shape us into unique & resilient individuals.

Looking within is not an easy practice, especially when others have caused you pain. Paying attention inward, towards your own thoughts, emotions, and inner resources can be challenging. But developing introspection, self-awareness, and finding solutions or strength from within yourself rather than relying solely on external factors or other people can be empowering. While we may want those who broke us to build us up again, ultimately, only we possess the power to restore our wholeness.
