🏃‍♀️Fuel your run with the right foods! 🍽️ Here are some key recommendations for runners:

🥬Iron-rich foods: Iron deficiency can impact performance, especially for women. Make sure to include iron-rich foods in your diet to support oxygen delivery to your muscles and prevent fatigue.

🍞Healthy carbs: Running relies on glucose and glycogen for fuel. Load up on healthy carbohydrates to ensure your energy stores are primed for endurance exercise.

💪Lean proteins: Rebuilding muscles is essential for recovery and performance. Incorporate lean proteins into your diet to support muscle repair and growth, helping you stay strong and injury-free on your runs.

Choosing the right fuel can make all the difference in your energy levels and performance.

Psoriasis affects 125 million people worldwide. 📣 🌎

➡️ Swipe to learn about some of the external triggers that might be affecting your flare-ups.

Alcohol
Drinking too much alcohol can cause psoriasis flare ups.
Cutting back on alcohol or stopping altogether is not only good for your skin, but for your overall well-being.

Stress
Experiencing abnormally high stress levels might spark a psoriasis flare-up.
Learning how to decrease and handle stress can potentially lower and prevent flare-ups.

Injury
A psoriasis flare-up can be triggered by accidents, cuts, or scrapes.
Additionally, injections, vaccines, and sunburns may also lead to a new outbreak.

Medication
Certain medications like lithium, antimalarial medications and high blood pressure medication can act as triggers for psoriasis.

Nourish your skin from within with these 6 supplements, carefully curated to support and soothe eczema-prone skin.

✨ Fish Oil
Fish oil enhances your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, known for their heart-healthy properties, which can potentially promote skin health. Some evidence suggests that these fatty acids may inhibit the activity of immune cells responsible for triggering eczema.

✨ Vitamin D
Studies have linked lower levels of vitamin D to heightened eczema severity in children. Supplementation with vitamin D demonstrated improvement in eczema symptoms in approximately two-thirds of the studies.

✨ Vitamin E
Apart from shielding the skin from harmful stress, some research indicates that it might also help reduce the signs of eczema.

✨ Zinc
Taking zinc supplements could potentially lessen the severity of eczema, particularly in cases of deficiency.

✨ Melatonin
Melatonin might function as an antioxidant, lower the levels of specific markers of inflammation, and hinder the development of eczema.

✨ Probiotics
Some studies show that probiotics may help treat and prevent eczema, but more research is required.

Change up your post-workout snack with these 4 foods!

Avocados have good fats and nutrients that help with recovery and reduce inflammation.

Eggs, with all nine essential amino acids, are great for maintaining, building, and repairing muscles.

Bananas, packed with potassium and carbs, boost exercise performance and aid in muscle recovery. They're also easy to digest, making them a solid pre or post-workout snack.

Greek yogurt is a convenient source of protein and calcium, crucial for strong bones.

Which post-workout snack is your favourite?

5 things you might not know about psoriasis:

1. It's not just a rash
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease. The body gets confused and starts attacking its own cells instead of recognizing them as healthy.

2. It is not contagious
Feel free to shake hands or make physical contact with someone who has psoriasis.

3. There is currently no cure
Psoriasis flare-ups can happen unexpectedly, but various treatments can lower the number of flare-ups and lead to remission, where symptoms disappear. Remission can last for weeks, months, or even years, but it varies from person to person.

4. Triggers are unique for everyone
Things like skin injuries, infections, too much sunlight, smoking, and even alcohol use can make psoriasis act up. If you have this condition, it's essential to know your triggers and take measures to keep your skin safe.

5. Symptoms get worse in the winter
Cold weather can dry the skin and cause inflammation. However, make sure you still spend some time outdoors to get natural sunlight, which helps prevent psoriasis flare-ups.
