There’s a new Sheriff in town! Many clients will know Rhonda and Mimi but now we have Valentina joining the team as our front desk receptionist and office assistant. She is experienced and enthusiastic and charming. She’s also fluent in Spanish and Italian. Everyone at Continental is thrilled that she’s on board.

This is Betty Ann, one of Continental’s favorite people. Although her Contressa may be white she lives life to the fullest. It doesn’t matter if she is doing the edge walk on the CN Tower, “laying down with tigers” in Thailand, zip lining through the jungles there, skydiving in Innisfil, or on a five week hike on the Camino de Santiago trail from France to Spain, her hair looks great.
She is an inspiration to us all. And I’m grateful she sent these photos to me.🏆

A note to our wonderful clients that the Continental Hair Yorkville and Sunnybrook Hospital salon will be closed this week for our annual summer break. We will re-open on August 8. Our Sarnia salon will remain open.

Yesterday was really special. Continental Hair was invited to present to ‘s symposium yesterday. To celebrate our 60th year we had grave volunteers get free wigs cut in and had a selfie-corner where attendees could try on wigs with different colours and styles. It was a wonderful experience and Vasella, Laila, Rhonda and myself were thrilled to be a part of this coming together.
CANAAF is an amazing organization and if you or someone you care about is having difficulty dealing with their alopecia this organization offers support and counseling and the latest scientific updates from researchers.
And they are really fun people to hang out with.

It’s 82 miles to the conference in Niagara Falls. I’ve got a full tank of gas. 32 wigs. Two styling trollies, a box of styrofoam heads, the sun is rising, and I’m wearing sunglasses.

So yesterday was a real treat for me. I got to visit . I haven’t been able to get there is a long time and it was wonderful to catch up with Vasella and Sara. And I got to see Marcy too!
A few of their clients were there as well and they love how their hair looks. I have to agree.

I met Julie Elaine Colgan at our CTV documentary for Alopecia 5 years ago now.
Yes both Julie and I are wearing wigs from .
We had a common thread from that day that joined us with our stories of hair loss.
Our journey of friendship has developed and moved into a quiet friendship that knows that we have each other’s back.
We’ve struggled with a few issues of late, but our friendship is unwavering.
I love this woman, and know she is here to stay. A part of my tribe.

Today I was at a 2 day Model Shoot I produce for Continental Hair for their Advertising and Social Media presence.
This wig I am wearing is a creation Sara Baradel did, which is stunning.
I always live with such gratitude for this company and the owner Michael Suba, because with out this man I would not have spent the last 7 years feeling empowered and in love with how I present myself to the world.
The biggest gift I get from these days is always how in awe I feel towards the women and young girls that step out of their comfort zone, and talk about their hair loss journey.
They come and tell their story. They come to tell others that it’s going to be okay. They come to begin the journey of healing and celebrating their greatness in this world.
I am so proud to be a part of this Company and hope I can continue to show Canada what a special Wig company this truly is.
