It was a privilege and an honor to gather at Queens Park this past week to advocate for the profession of Acupuncture + Traditional Chinese Medicine in the province of Ontario.

After a day of success meetings between members of provincial parliament, TCMO's Katrina Dollano (Vice President) + Heather Kenny (President), and members of the government relations team, it was a joy to gather for a reception with colleagues, friends, and supporters of our profession. Together, we celebrated the value of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and championed our place in Ontario’s health care system.

As a Registered Acupuncturist, Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Clinic Owner and Director on the Board of our provincial association, (TCMO), this work is dear to me and more crucial than ever.

This medicine that I practice and Love inspires me as I see firsthand results in clinic every day. From tears of frustration turned into tears of joy and relief - my treatment room is a sacred space where transformation happens daily.

I have the utmost gratitude for my patients. Thank you for placing your trust in me. You keep me motivated and optimistic about the future of Acupuncture + TCM. It truly is life-changing, and I'm humbled to be your witness.

Our October edition of 'Ear Seeding in the Park' event was a smashing success!

It was an absolute pleasure and so much fun to connect with our community and meet some of our lovely neighbors.

From the diary of a traveling acupuncturist:

While the new clinic is under renovation, I've been joyfully commuting to housecalls across the city to continue care for a few clients in need.

Breaking free from the endless tasks that had me pinned to the computer screen and sitting sedentary for hours on end has served as a welcome reminder of the work I love and why I'm an acupuncturist.

Building and growing a business is no joke! It's an intense and demanding process, and the last few months have been especially taxing and not without growing pains. It's been a season to remember! And to be honest, despite the uncomfortabilities from navigating new terrain, and fears arising from unknowns, I'm so grateful for all the learning experiences along the way.

It was a bittersweet last day in clinic at 1 Dundas.

Baby girl tagged along and was the recipient of my final treatment in this space. It was her first time receiving fire cupping, and she loved it! What a joy to wrap up with her by my side.

While on some levels, it still aches to say goodbye to this special jewel box in the sky - or as some have called it- my ivory tower 😅- behind, she reassures me today, "it's okay mama, your new space is way cooler! It's gonna be great, so much better!"

Yeah, baby, I know you're right. We got this.

Onwards we go! 💫
