‼️A recall has been issued by Health Canada regarding the George brand sleepers (sold at Walmart) sizes 0-5T for boys and girls.

Reason for recall: The zipper pulls and foot grips of the George Brand Sleepers, may fall off or be removed through repeated washing, posing choking and ingestion hazards.

The style codes for the affected sleepers are :
GRS30400IB
GRS30400TG
GRS30400IG
GRS30400TG

The style code can be found on the tag on the back of the collar of the sleeper ( swipe to see image of where style code is located)

What should you do if you have these sleepers? Immediately stop using the recalled sleepers and check the style number printed on the collar to determine if they are impacted by this recall. Affected sleepers can be disposed of returned to Wal-Mart stores for a full refund.

Have you ever had a moment with your little one where you felt so connected to them and you both knew that you were so important to each other? This is called mutual delight!💕

Mutual delight is such an important factor of having a secure attachment, and is when you and your little one share moments of communication and connection about your importance to one another. When you share moments of mutual delight with your little one, you’re sending the message to them that they are so precious to you just as they are. Repeated moments of mutual delight with your little one allows them to develop a sense of confidence that they are accepted and loved for who they are!

Sleep deprivation in parenthood is so normalized (when its actually not normal at all). It can impact attachment and limit these moments of mutual delight because parents are feeling exhausted, irritable, and anxious. Your little one (who is an expert in you) is picking up on this emotions/energy and internalizing it. Allowing yourself as parents to get some restorative rest can help you regulate your emotions so you can feel good and in tune with your little one and respond to their needs accordingly. The result? Your little one will pick up on this and feel safe/secure and great around you, resulting is many moments of mutual delight!

A happy rested parent = A happy rested baby!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

👋🏽Hi, I’m Priya, a certified pediatric sleep consultant, and I want you to know that restful sleep with little ones IS possible!

Starting sleep work with your little one can feel overwhelming🫣, but I’ve got you covered 😉

Here are 3 things to keep in mind when starting sleep work:

1️⃣ Positive energy can make the process easier for everyone! Think about when you’re learning something new – would you rather have someone cheering you on and telling you that you can do it OR someone who is feeling anxious about your short comings and telling you that you can’t do it? Of course, you would want someone hyping you up throughout the process! Well, it’s the same with sleep work! Coming into the program with a positive mindset and being your child’s cheerleader can help your child regulate their emotions and can help everyone feel good about the process.

2️⃣ Being consistent and following the customized plan provided to you can help eliminate confusion for the baby. Learning a new task is always easier when the guidelines are clear!

3️⃣ Every child and family is unique which means that everyone’s journey to sleep will look different! Try not to compare your child’s progress through the program to that of others. Your child will get there - the way they get there may just look a little different!

🕧Did you know babies SHOULD have a bedtime? I definitely did not know this when I became a mom!

‼️Bedtimes are important for babies because of their earlier circadian rhythm. An earlier circadian rhythm means baby will start their day earlier and end their day earlier than adults. So, no matter how late baby goes to bed, they will wake up at a pretty consistent early time between 6 am – 7 am, which results in LESS total night sleep for baby.

The “putting-baby-to-sleep-later-will-lead-to-later-wake-up-time-in-the-morning” myth has officially been debunked!🤯
