Last week in Toronto, Bridge Medical Communications hosted the 2nd Annual EmpowerHER Women’s Health Summit, in recognition of International Women’s Day. The EmpowerHER summit brought together primary care professionals for a focused morning of inspiring education, networking, and discussion.

Chaired by Dr Vivien Brown, this year’s summit explored key topics impacting women’s health across primary care, including cervical cancer screening, menopause management, cardiometabolic health, office gynecology, and migraine and insomnia.

Through expert-led sessions and practical discussions, attendees gained valuable insights and tools to optimize female patient care.

Thank you to our speakers, sponsors, and attendees for contributing to a successful and impactful morning.

Today, we’re proud to recognize Healthcare Continuing Education Professionals (HCEP) Day—a moment to acknowledge the dedication, expertise, and impact of those advancing healthcare education across disciplines.

At Bridge Medical Communications, we see firsthand how HCE professionals drive meaningful change by translating evidence into practice and supporting better outcomes for patients and care teams alike.

We’re also looking ahead with excitement to the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions’ 50th Annual Conference, taking place February 16–19 in Atlanta. Celebrating five decades of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, this milestone event is a meaningful opportunity to learn, connect, and help shape the future of healthcare education.

We look forward to joining colleagues from across the field to continue these important conversations—today and beyond.

Creating space for the conversations that move women’s cancer care forward.

At our inaugural EmpowerHER Oncology Summit, clinicians came together to focus on what is often overlooked in competing priorities: taking the time to openly discuss women’s unique cancer risks, emerging realities in oncology, and how care must evolve across the continuum, from prevention to survivorship.

From increasing awareness of lung cancer as the leading cause of cancer-related death in women in Canada, to addressing gynecologic cancers with rising incidence, to reframing breast cancer as a set of distinct diseases requiring tailored approaches—this summit was about bringing critical issues front and centre.

Bridge Medical Communications is proud to provide a forum designed for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists to learn, exchange perspectives, and help advance meaningful change in women’s oncology care.

This is just the beginning, and we’re looking ahead to continuing the conversation at future EmpowerHER summits.

The EmpowerHER Women’s Health Summit: Oncology Edition was more than just an event; it was a space for all health care providers including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists to come together and have the conversations that matter most in women’s cancer care.

As Dr. Sharlene Gill shared in her opening remarks, “We really do need to talk about it.”

Because advancing care starts with creating the time, space, and forum to listen, share, and move the conversation forward.

Bridge Medical Communications is proud to have created that forum, bringing together experts across the oncology community for an evening of insights, discussion, and connection.
