Herbs and spices are an excellent addition to your meals, for flavour, powerful nutrients and antioxidants that can help boost your health.

Herbs are the leafy parts of plants that do not have woody stems. They can be fresh or dried. Dried herbs have a stronger flavour than fresh but lose their strength quickly.

Spices on the other hand, are from bark, buds fruit, roots or seeds from various plants or trees.

Halloween is a *tricky* time for some parents and their children.

Trick-or-treating does not have to lead to a sugar overload. Keep the Halloween spirit alive with fun, less sugary treat options that everyone can enjoy!

Some other treats to consider:
Dark chocolate - is lower in sugar and rich in antioxidants
Mini packs of nuts or trail mix-a crunchier treat that has good sources of fat and protein

There are over 20 different ways to perform lunges. Did you know that your trunk position impacts the contraction level of some of the muscles involved?

Depending on the goal of the exercise and which muscles you're trying to work on, adjusting the trunk position to more upright or leaning further forward towards the front leg will alter the mechanics.

Knowing exercise variations can help greatly when returning to weight training after injury or ensuring a well-rounded program.
