Job Description

The Snow Removal Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient snow clearing and salting of assigned routes/sites. The incumbent will operate a specialized sidewalk tractors. He or she will also be tasked with performing regular inspections of the vehicles and plowing equipment, basic regular maintenance such as lubrication, refueling and checking fluid levels. This individual will be required to observe all applicable safety regulations, traffic laws, and CSL Group Ltd. policies and procedures. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties

Drive equipment in a safe, efficient and law-abiding manner.
Spread sand/salt as necessary.
Report any unusual road or weather conditions.
Perform trip inspections on the vehicle, plowing and sanding/salting equipment, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, occupational health and safety.
Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.
The incumbent will operate specialized sidewalk tractors
Communicate effectively and professionally with the public, customers, and co-workers.
Assist in loading and unloading of the sand/salt spreading equipment trucks.

The Landscape Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and executing plans and designs The incumbent works to ensure that projected designs match their needs, and are functional, safe and economical. The Crew Leader maintains company equipment and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Enhancements Crew.
