This is me this morning on my traditional Sunday morning hike with

I love our walks because one of the topics we always talk about is how we can be better people.

We spoke about how we can be accountable for our actions and how we can choose to radiate love to others. Even if something isn’t so loving to us. When we sense negativity from others or ourselves, how to embrace it and respond from a place of love.

I think this is important to aim to face all things with love and light. Applying this motto even during this time on our planet of sadness and anger for many people, send them love and healing. Be that light and love they need right now, even if their anger you may not understand. ❤️💗 @ Wilmot, Ontario

Lime Strawberry🍓Salad to ring in the nice weather!☀️

This was soooo good, I had it for dinner tonight and it turned out really well so I’d like to share! Also next time I make a plate, I wouldn’t add the egg. I just felt it wasn’t necessary with the avocado and lentils! But feel free to add it anyways.

Either way, it was so refreshing and you can easily opt out the non vegan ingredients and it will still taste just as amazing for all you people out there!

The dressing was totally off the top of my head and I am sooo happy with how tasty it was and how pretty it looks drizzled on the strawberries!

THE DEETS😍😜⬇️

What’s the DRESSING?!
•Zest and juice of 1 Lime
•Pinch of salt
•Pinch of pepper
•1 tbsp Olive oil
•1 tsp local honey
•1 tsp Finely chopped cilantro

What’s the SALAD?!
•For the base; Mixed lettuce,carrots,radish
•3 sliced strawberries
•Feta
•Brown Lentils
•Avocado
•And my homemade dressing!

In such a tragic time in the world I’m seeing businesses, workers, and everyday people stepping up to help one another. People coming together.

Whether that means an alcohol company making hand sanitizer.

A car company slowing production of parts in order to create machines to help people breathe.

What a perfect way to embrace being Canadian. (That is: skating until you can no longer feel your toes!! Brrrr🥶)
Before I leave for a month long adventure to a MUCH warmer place!

I am SO excited to be seeing such a beautiful part of our world, experiencing a different culture, and actually a few places on the way there too! 🌏

Send positivity and be kind to others.

Not only does it make them feel nice but if you’re thinking selfishly; it feels damn awesome!

Yesterday I listened to the whole podcast by which a friend recommended to me. Then this morning I listened to it again.

One thing he mentions is that the more positive feelings others have towards you, the better things your life will attract.
I can personally say this to be true! Simply being kinder and kinder to others (while still respecting and loving myself ofcourse) attracts so many good things to your life.

So today, I encourage all of you to:

-be KIND, do something giving or make someone feel special! (Even if it’s just asking a homeless person their name or surprising a friend with a tea or a sweet note)

-be SUPPORTIVE. Rather than becoming jealous of others success’, encourage them or even offer your strengths to help! You would be surprised what good things come your way and what opportunities come.

-be HONEST, even when it’s brutally uncomfortable. Sometimes we find ourselves in an awkward situation and it feels like the best thing to do is run away. Just communicating how you’re feeling usually gives both of you a sense of peace and understanding instead of misunderstanding, hurt, and hate.

-be UNDERSTANDING! Most of the time negative feelings come from a place of misunderstanding. We all crave to relate to one another. Let others explain how they are feeling, give a listening ear. Put yourself in someone’s situation. Most of the time you will then find compassion. After all, we are all human and have some similar or relatable experiences to compare with one another.

-be LOVE. Come from a place of love. Choose love over everything. If you’re coming from a place other than love, give yourself some time to remember who you truly are within and then try again. Love always wins. Love is always the best answer. ❤️🤗

Like the only time I straightened my hair.

The people you surround yourself with can truly effect your successes in life.

ASK YOURSELF:

Who do you spend your time with?
Do these people lift you up and make you feel positive?
Do they support your life’s endeavours?
Are you encouraged to be your best self when you are with them?
Do they also contribute to your relationship?

Today me and a good friend of mine started our first “productivity day” which we decided we would aim to do a few times a month. This day we devote to getting some work done, but in a fun and imaginative way.

We inspire one another!

There are no limits when it comes to brainstorming ideas for business. In fact we have some awesome creations coming for you to enjoy!
We also help each other by bringing both of our skills to the table when it comes to goals. It’s truly about who you know and working together that gets you far in life.
And accomplishing things in life with others is a lot funner too! Let’s just say, people who work together rather than apart get places! !

Something I’ve personally struggled with - and many people struggle with- is worrying about something that “could” happen. We constantly are thinking about the ifs and about the future or past rather than living in the damn moment!

Some tips to start LIVING in the now:

1)Wake up every morning with the intention “I am going to be present in the moment I am currently living, I’m going to breathe it in like a breath of fresh air”

2) If you catch yourself worrying about the future, ask yourself “is it something that is within my control?” If so then do what you can now and then move forward. Or ask yourself “did whatever it is even occur or is it just a possibility I have created in my head?” If so, move forward and leave it alone.

3) Embrace whatever it is with a yes. If it works then do it. We are living to experience and create so don’t resist. Just go with it, whatever it is and your answer will be there when the time is right.

4) That’s one thing, most of the time life just answers the question or decision for us with time. With time (and exposure to adventures) matters all become clear

5) S m i l e and be your best self RIGHT NOW. If what’s holding you back is because of someone you used to be, you’re not them anymore. You’re who you are today so make it count, enjoy it and let who you truly are shine and touch others.

It’s been almost a full year since graduation 🎓
To think of where I was then and where I am now is such contrast... little did I know I would overcome so much. I would have many struggles personally and professionally until the next year but it would all make me stronger. If I let it shape me rather than ruin me ofcourse.

Starting a business can be a very challenging and testing project. It’s one of those things you have to learn as you go. You have to reach out to people, ask questions, remain open minded, say yes to opportunities, and keep yourself accountable.
🎓
Along this journey so far life has tested me. It’s handed me some very difficult things to try and break me. At times I wanted to give up. But, I’m proud to say I didn’t let it dim the light inside me! My dream to make a difference in the world and change lives is there, and I will not let anything stop me. No one great did not fail first.

Has anyone ever tried Papaya? How do you like to eat yours? 🥄

For this quick breakfast I topped my papaya with fermented soya yogurt, granola, walnuts and dragon fruit! The great thing is you can get creative with it! Then just scoop it out with a spoon! 😋

On to what we will learn today!! A lot of people may think that making soup is difficult and takes a special talent, but really it's an easy meal to make! Similar to a smoothie, you can get pretty creative with what you already have AND there are no exact measurements required. If you have been watching 👀 my story you would know I used leeks, and squash! I picked these up from the market because they are in season, not having much of a plan for what I will do with them originally. I also added in potatoes and other ingredients like kale which I had in my fridge! The broth...I did use a LOW SODIUM pre-made broth, water, and spices. BUT it is quite simple to make a broth from scratch if you find you're having the time and have a lot of scraps of vegetables. STAY TUNED for a post on how to make homemade broth!!

🍁Fall Kale Squash Salad🍁

I tossed this together after I came home from the gym today. And even was able to have it cook while I showered. Super easy, tasty and nutritious!

My Recipe:
•Cut in Half acorn squash, open face on a baking sheet bake on 350 for 45 min
•Chop Kale, Apple🍎, Walnuts, and baked and skinned squash
•Dressing: Apple Cider Vinegar, Camelina oil (you can use olive too), Apple Juice, Himalayan salt, black pepper, cinnamon

Mix it together and get eating!

High Fiber, Egg Free Banana Muffins!

(A lot of you have been saying how much you look forward to my food stories; so I've decided to bring them to my posts!)

I hope you all enjoy, feel informed, and inspired to live out a healthy lifestyle! 😊

TIP: one way I increased the fiber (and omega) in this basic snack is by swapping out the eggs with a "chia egg" instead. To do this you will need 1tbsp of ground chia to 3 tbsp of water to sub one egg. I doubled this for 2 eggs In my recipe.

Breakfast this morning ☀️🍽Tip: soft boiling your eggs is a healthy option rather than frying!
•How To: place eggs in pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Once boiling set timer to 2 and 1/2 minutes. Remove immediately, pour water out of pot and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking. Cut or peal the top of the egg. Scoop out with a spoon or dip sliced toast in yoke and enjoy! 😋😋
