Personal goal setting —

5 years ago I picked up running and did my first 5K.
3 years ago I did my first 10K finishing at 59:02.
This summer I was excited to return to in person races 😄 and set a goal to beat my previous 10K time.

Did I have doubts along the way? YES
Did I compare my ability to others who could run faster than me? YES
But I try to quickly remind myself to stop comparing and to stay focused on MY goals.
So today I’m sharing this as a small reminder to others who may need it - that personal goals are definitely fulfilling!

5 years ago I picked up running, starting with a 5K.
3 years did my first 10K finishing at 60 minutes.

This summer my goal was to do a 10K again and beat my previous time.
Today I proved to myself that I could do it and my training paid off ✅

Hip Opener with Trunk Rotation Combo

❇️Deep Squat with Thoracic Rotation:
This great mobility combo works on opening the hips, relaxing and lengthening the pelvic floor, and increasing mobility in the mid back.

🎥1. Lower down into a deep squat position
- Hands cross over, holding the doorway
•Rotating to the right: left hand holds doorway as right arm opens up to the right.
•Rotating to the left: right hand holds doorway as left arm opens up to the left

🎥2. Modification- supported seated position on a block

✅Perform the stretch for 30 seconds, aiming for 8-10 reps of alternating arms.

PUSH UP FROM KNEES VARIATION:
➡️Tricep push-up with yoga block

✅Builds upper body and tricep strength by using your own body weight
✅Great for beginners and during pregnancy

Begin in a kneeling plank position
Place one hand on a yoga block
Arms close by trunk with elbows pointing back
Neutral spine and core engaged
Bend at the elbows moving into a comfortable range
Feel the 🔥in the triceps
