I'm so excited to introduce our upcoming workshop, "Building Regulated Families," with Emer Broderick, of , one of my longest and closest friends.

Emer is a Children's Occupational Therapist and Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner based in London, UK, with over 15 years of experience working with children and families with diverse needs.

She supports children and their families in participating in everyday activities, often focusing on the role sensory processing plays in a child's skills, development, and regulation.

I’m by no means implying that I get it right all the time or that I’m the perfect parent.

I make mistakes, say the wrong thing have blind spots, biases and shadow like everyone else .

But I do know that prioritising my own growth and healing has been one of the biggest key factors in becoming a better parent.

It has helped me to become more aware of my own wounds so that I could reduce the likelihood that I would pass them on to my own kids.

It has helped me to find more patience by learning to navigate my triggers and regulate my nervous system so that I can respond better to the stressors of parenting and life.

It has helped me to quieten my inner critic and find more inner peace which has in turn enabled me to cultivate more gratitude and joy and deepen my connection to myself and my kids.

It has been deeply transformative on many different levels.
