ABOUT ME
Massage therapy became part of my health care routine at age nine to treat chronic pain and discomfort related to scoliosis of the spine. I've had many massages over the years; some fantastic and life-changing and others that didn't quite hit the mark. I quickly developed a strong sense of what works for me and what doesn’t and I carry this understanding into my practice; client needs differ from person to person. When you come to me for treatment, we will work together to ensure you're receiving the best possible care for YOUR individual needs.
After obtaining my BA in Sociology I worked in customer service and sales before finding my way to the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy where I truly discovered my passion for anatomy, physiology, and health care. I completed additional perinatal massage therapy training through the Trimesters program and have treated pregnant clients in the High Risk Obstetrics and Birthing units at Sunnybrook Hospital. As a mother myself, perinatal care holds a special place in my heart.
My sociological background drives me to understand not only the health history and presenting symptoms of each of my clients but also the unique circumstances and experiences that make them who they are. I’m a firm believer in the mind-body connection and have a holistic approach to treatment. I will leave no stone unturned when it comes to helping my clients establish and work toward their health care goals. I am committed to working with diverse clientele and creating a safe space for everyone who walks into my treatment room.
