YES, there is a difference between solutions & exfoliators!
Let’s break it down:
Exfoliators: (manual or physical) – Think scrubs, beads, or textured polishes. These work on the surface layer of skin to buff away dead cells. Great for instant smoothness & glow! Best used 1–2x a week, especially in fall/winter when skin is drier.
Solutions: (chemical exfoliants/peels/toners) – These use active ingredients (like AHA, BHA, enzymes) to pe*****te deeper into the skin. They dissolve buildup, target congestion, pigmentation, fine lines, & even prep skin for better product absorption. Depending on strength, these can reach the epidermis or deeper layers. Best rotated seasonally (lighter acids/enzymes in spring–summer, stronger solutions in fall–winter).
How often?
• Manual exfoliants: 1–2x weekly.
• Solutions: 2–3x weekly (or as directed, depending on strength).
Benefits of using both:
When combined into your AM/PM routine, they keep skin renewed, help your serums + moisturizers work better, and maintain a brighter, healthier complexion year-round.
