Behind every monitoring appointment, every transfer day, and every moment you needed someone to just get it, there was a nurse.

Fertility nursing is a different kind of calling. It asks for clinical excellence and deep human presence at the same time, and our nurses show up with both every single day.

This Nursing Week, We’re celebrating the people that make our patients feel held, seen, and hopeful. We appreciate you beyond words. Happy Nurses Week!

Most people know smoking isn’t good for them, but did you know that it actually ages your ovaries?

Current smokers have nearly double the risk of early menopause compared to women who have never smoked, and the more you smoke, the greater that risk. In essence, your lifestyle choices today shape your hormonal health for decades.

Most women with a uterine anomaly have no symptoms and no reproductive issues. But for those navigating infertility, identifying one can be an important piece of the puzzle.

Asherman’s Syndrome occurs when scar tissue forms inside the uterus, often following procedures like a D&C or polypectomy. It can cause lighter periods, pregnancy loss, and difficulty conceiving.

Swipe to learn what a fertility doctor looks for when diagnosing it.

Success rates matter, but they are only one part of the picture.

Choosing a fertility clinic means understanding what happens behind those numbers.

The team. The lab. The systems. The consistency of care.

Patients deserve both strong outcomes and a team they trust.

In a recent post, I shared the new long-term egg freezing study, Freezing First: Insights From 8 Years of Planned Oocyte Cryopreservation (PMID: 41352516).

In that study, about 10.4% of patients returned to use their frozen eggs. The numbers vary across studios, but what remains consistent is that not using frozen eggs is not necessarily a bad outcome!

The goal of egg freezing is to preserve the option, not to make sure you will need those eggs. For many patients, it may mean life unfolded in a way that made the backup plan unnecessary.

Fertility care shouldn’t be a locked door.

This week is Canadian Fertility Awareness Week. It’s a time to break the silence around fertility and take steps to ensure that fertility care is understood, supported, and accessible to all.
