5 grams of pressure. That's the weight of a nickel.

That's how light your touch needs to be to feel restrictions in a baby's body.

Any more pressure and you'll miss what you're looking for. The restrictions are almost invisible.

This is why learning CST takes time, practice, and feedback.

Not all crying is colic (pain from gas). Sometimes, it's the body asking for help.

Babies who experienced birth trauma; whether from a long labor, fast delivery, assisted birth, or NICU stays often hold tension in their abdomen, spine, cranial base, and neck. This tension affects digestion, breathing, and nervous system regulation.

That's where craniosacral therapy helps. We release the restrictions that make babies uncomfortable so that they can relax, digest, and feel comfortable in their bodies.

Level 2 isn't just more techniques. It's pattern recognition.

You'll start seeing:
- How restriction patterns connect across the body.
- How birth trauma shows up months later.
- How to work with babies who haven't responded to other approaches.

This is the training for practitioners who want to handle complex cases confidently. The families who come to you have usually tried everything else.
You’ll learn to see what others have missed.

Prerequisites: Foundations + Level 1 Next cohort: May 2026 (registration opens February)

Tongue tie releases are becoming more common, but many babies still struggle with feeding after the procedure. Here's why craniosacral therapy helps improve outcomes.

A tongue tie release addresses the restricted tissue, but it doesn't address the compensatory patterns the baby's body developed while adapting to the restriction. Their jaw, neck, and face learned to work differently, and those patterns don't disappear just because the tie is released.

That's where craniosacral therapy comes in. We help the body unlearn those patterns and restore natural movement so babies can use their newly released tongue more optimally.

Why do we teach CST on adults before babies?
Because babies are moving targets - literally.

Without established tactile sensitivity, you'll miss the restrictions causing their symptoms. And you'll frustrate yourself learning on a squirmy baby who can't give you feedback.

Here's why starting with adults prepares you for infant work.

CST Foundations starts today.

We could offer a weekend intensive and get more students through faster. But that's not how you build the tactile sensitivity this work requires.

Here's why our 4-week program with weekly practice and instructor feedback is essential.

Not all tongue ties are created equal.

Sometimes what looks like a tongue tie is actually cranial nerve dysfunction causing tension in the tongue.

I've seen babies with all the classic signs: poor latch, tongue that won't elevate, clicking during feeds. Everyone assumes it's a tie. But what if the frenulum is not short or tethered?

When you assess the cranial nerves, you'll likely find compression at the hypoglossal canal, or temporal bone restrictions affecting the vagus nerve.

Releasing these bones can help the tongue move optimally, without the need for surgical release.

This is why understanding cranial nerves matters when you're working with feeding issues.

Curious about this? DM “Level 2” and we’ll help you out.

This was the first space that I could call my own. Where I could keep all my teaching aids, build my courses, record videos for my curriculum, and, in the past 3 years, where I trained over 75 CST practitioners!

But it’s gotten too small.

It’s time to move on to bigger and better pastures.

In our new centre, we’ll have more space, more comfort, less traffic, and easier access for everyone.

I’ve loved my office at 192 Spadina; it served me well. I’m sorry to leave, but not sad enough!

Something very exciting is coming soon!

To those who are new to us.

We're a craniosacral therapy training organization focused specifically on infant and pediatric work.

Our instructors aren't just teachers; they're clinicians who work with babies and families every day. They understand the real challenges practitioners face because they're in the treatment room too.

Our training approach:
- Small cohorts with direct instructor feedback
- Weekly practice sessions with case report reviews
- Clinical focus, not just theory
- Instructors who've worked with thousands of babies

We teach Foundations (intro to CST principles), Level 1 (infant-specific assessment and treatment), and Level 2 (advanced cases and pattern recognition).

Whether you're a bodyworker, lactation consultant, PT, OT, or healthcare provider curious about adding CST to your practice, our training gives you practical skills you'll use immediately.

Follow for clinical stories, student experiences, and training updates.

The biggest mistake I see practitioners make with reflux cases? Rushing the work.

Parents are desperate for their baby to feel better. You want to help. So you try to release restrictions quickly.

But when you stretch or manipulate fascia too quickly, it snaps back. The body doesn't have time to integrate the change. Symptoms return within days or weeks.

What works instead: Five-gram touch. Wait. Let the tissue show you what it needs. Sometimes I'm holding a position for quite a while, just listening for the baby's body to tell me it's ready.

When the release happens under those conditions, it's complete. The changes hold because the body integrated them rather than having them imposed.

Foundations is where it starts.

You'll learn the anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral system. How to feel restrictions. How light touch impacts the nervous system. Why babies hold tension patterns and how to release them safely.

This course is required before Level 1, but it's also valuable on its own. Practitioners tell us Foundations changed how they assess every client; not just babies.
