🌲🏕️ We’re kicking off Camp Humber Meadows with tents, campfires, and even a canoe! 🛶🔥

We’re ready to make this summer unforgettable with fun activities and memories that last. Huge thanks to our amazing Recreation Team and Residents Council for the beautiful spiritual space door mural that’s adding even more heart to our camp!

We celebrated National Bikini Day with a splash at Humber Meadows by hosting a DIY Bathing Suit Contest! 🩱✨

Staff, residents, and even family members got in on the fun, creating one-of-a-kind suits that brought smiles, laughs, and a whole lot of creativity! Whether it was sparkles, flowers, or bold designs, we had a blast rocking those beach vibes together! 🏖️👙

✈️ Oh Canada… what a ride!

One of the many ways we celebrated Canada Day was by taking our residents on a cross-country adventure — from the waves at Peggy’s Cove 🌊, to the hustle of Toronto 🏙️, through the stunning Rocky Mountains 🏔️, and all the way up north to catch the northern lights 🌌✨

Take us out to the ball game! ⚾️

Last week, a group of our residents and family members had an unforgettable day cheering on the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre! The energy, excitement, and joy were absolutely contagious - with the ball park hotdogs being an added bonus!

A heartfelt thank you to Elmer, Jenny, and Ann Marie for making this special outing possible. You knocked it out of the park! 💙

Yesterday wrapped up a vibrant and heartwarming Pride Spirit Week at Humber Meadows! Each day we celebrated a different colour of the rainbow, filling our halls with love, laughter, and unity. Residents, staff, and visitors all joined in❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Pride Week is more than just a celebration — it’s about honouring the unique identities and histories of every person in our community. It’s about ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors feels seen, safe, and celebrated—regardless of age, background, or orientation. Here at Humber Meadows, we believe that Pride is Ageless and no matter the year, no matter the chapter, everyone deserves to live with dignity, love, and belonging.

Thank you to everyone in our community who contributes to creating an environment where inclusion isn’t just a value—it’s a lived experience. An extra special thank you to our amazing recreation team for the thoughtful and vibrant decorations that lit up our home all week long—you helped make the spirit of Pride truly shine! 🌟🏳️‍🌈

Last week, our residents took a beautiful trip to the Toronto Botanical Gardens — a chance to breathe in the fresh air, take in the blooms, and feel connected to the world beyond our walls 🌿💚

At our home, we believe life doesn’t stop at the doors — it extends into the heart of our community. Outings like these are part of our commitment to ensuring residents stay engaged, inspired, and truly connected to the vibrant city around us.

On June 12, we proudly hosted our 1st Annual Staff Appreciation Gala — an evening dedicated to honouring the extraordinary individuals who make our home what it is.

This was more than just a celebration — it was a moment to pause, reflect, and recognize the compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment our staff bring every single day. In long-term care, our team is the heartbeat of the home, working 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure our residents are cared for, supported, and treated with dignity and love.
The gala was a small gesture in comparison to the incredible work they do, but it was filled with heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.

Now in its second year, this day is dedicated to recognizing the hard work, compassion, and commitment of those who work and volunteer In LTC homes and honour the thousands of residents living in long-term care homes and the families who support them.

We honour the vital role long-term care plays in strengthening communities and enriching the lives of residents across the country.
