🧡 On April 7th, it was National Caregivers Day. A day to recognize the millions of Canadians who provide care for loved ones while facing real challenges of stress, burnout, and daily sacrifice.

As a caregiver myself, I was honoured to be part of the conversation, joined by and . I personally understand how incredibly difficult it can be to juggle work, marriage, and caring for my mother after her brain aneurysm. Being able to discuss ways to prioritize self‑care for caregivers, recognize the signs of burnout, and talk openly about the emotional load we carry is such an important conversation to have.

This day is a powerful reminder of the resilience, dedication, and quiet strength of caregivers across Canada and why we must continue to build awareness, support networks, and resources for those who care with compassion every day.

Grateful to have been on on February 17th to talk about Lunar New Year and inclusivity in in*******al relationships. One of the most meaningful takeaways is that moments like this can become powerful learning opportunities—for both partners.

When we share our traditions, invite curiosity, and explain what holds cultural significance, we give our partner a chance to understand us more deeply. And when those partners respond with openness and care, it creates something even more important: emotional safety and a sense of connection.

Here are three tips to foster respect and inclusivity:

• Communicate ahead of time. Let your loved ones know how important the holiday is to you and what you need, such as attending a family gathering or learning traditions. This helps prevent misunderstandings and allows others to show up in meaningful ways.

• Invite curiosity through cultural sharing. Introduce your partner, family, and friends to meaningful items like red envelopes, traditional foods, and decorations. These shared experiences create safe, natural opportunities for learning and connection.

• Be open to blending traditions. Rather than choosing one culture over another, create rituals that honour both partners’ backgrounds. Blended traditions help everyone feel represented, valued, and emotionally connected.

If your partner celebrates Lunar New Year,
🧧🏮 this is what matters most.

•You don't need to say everything perfectly.
• You don't need to understand every tradition.

But your curiosity, your willingness to show up, your emotional presence... This is what matters most.

In in*******al relationships, Lunar new year isn't just a cultural event. It's connected to family, identity and belonging and this is what builds connection.

🎉✨As 2025 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on a year that was both challenging and deeply meaningful.

This year, I witnessed countless couples and individuals experience repair, connection, and new corrective emotional experiences—moments where old cycles softened and vulnerability was met with care. I feel proud and more confident in my growth using EFT with couples, helping partners express their primary emotions safely and strengthen their bonds.

I also began integrating Brainspotting into my work, adding a somatic layer to support trauma, regulation, and embodied healing alongside attachment-focused therapy.

On a personal level, this year brought significant changes in family and social life, along with moments of grief and adjustment. While some things are different than I once knew, I am grateful for the connections and days I still get to cherish, and for the growth that emerged through these experiences.

I am also deeply thankful for the therapist friendships, professional connections, and shared learning that made this year rich and sustaining.

To all the clients & colleagues who welcomed me into your journeys of healing and connection—thank you. I honor this trust deeply.

Wishing everyone a New Year filled with courage, healing, and hope.đź’—

✨ So excited to be featured in NOW Toronto! ✨

I had the chance to share my thoughts on how our dating “types” can change over time, often shifting from looks to emotional connection and shared values. One thing that often stays constant, though, is a deep longing for connection. Changing your “type” is normal, and can be a beautiful sign of growth and healing.
