TONIGHT: an initiation into the archetype of the MYSTIC.

Evolutionary Astrology is the road map for the karmic lessons and dharmic destiny of your soul within this lifetime.

Through unlocking the secret language of the chart, answers are revealed about every challenge and gift you will face in this lifetime.

Evolutionary Astrology is not prescriptive, deterministic, or predictive.

It teaches us which energies are present and what raw materials we are working with. It also offers a soul-deep map of how to engage with these energetics to unlock your highest timeline in any given moment.

In this class, I will lay the foundations of the philosophy of Evolutionary Astrology, how to work with it in your life in tangible and grounded ways, and offer you insight to get started exploring your chart from this lens.

My relationship with the land & the plants has been an ongoing deepening in the teaching of integrity and discernment.

This conversation is one that feels vulnerable, yet important to bring forward.

So far I’ve only shared about my experience with Ayahuasca in my containers with clients and in person with friends.

Yet my experience taught me so much about integrity and discernment, something my relationship with the plants and the land has always initiated me into.

I’m ready to share my story and experience and will be doing so on my podcast, coming soon.

I know that my experience is not universal, and in fact I haven’t ever heard another story quite like mine with this medicine, but I also know there is wisdom to be shared in the telling of it.

The Medicine Woman within me bows in reverence to all plants & in gratitude for their teachings 🌿🌱🌿

Some things I learned & remembered while sitting with my teachers (the plants, land, ancestors & the humans who are bridges to all 3) this weekend:

1. Honour, name & celebrate your teachers. Sit with them. A weekend in the presence of your mentors & teachers can change everything.

2. Trust that every NO to something that isn’t in full alignment is making space for a YES to something incredibly aligned. Let there be space between for alignment to flow.

3. Our ancestors are always with us. Their wisdom, their medicine, and their wounding runs in our veins. The conditions of our lives allow us to face ancestral wounds & clear them. It is our responsibility to heal what our ancestors could not.

4. Story is medicine. Medicine needs good stories to help us heal. Whether our stories are rooted in science or myth, they hold the power of transformation. Our lives are a sacred story being written by creation.

5. Isolation interferes with our body’s innate self-healing intelligence. Connection (to the land, to spirit, to each other, to our ancestors, to the plants) is the medicine.

6. Darkness within our own psyche is entryway for dis-ease. There is always a moment when we invite disease in. Illness in our body creates a mirror for us to confront our inner darkness.

7. Our knowledge of plants as medicine and their healing properties comes from direct communication & relationship with them. Modern scientific knowledge is very recent and only confirms the wisdom we have been connected to for thousands of years.

8. Relationships with plants are built through time spent, softness and gentle openness. A willingness to listen, to receive, and to connect are the keys. Communication with plant spirits is in our nature and comes naturally to us all when we let the mind get out of the way.

9. Listening is the pathway to offering good medicine. When we listen with the heart, the answer is always right there, hidden in plain sight.

10. Fear of toxins, harmful effects, and darkness in the world can be more harmful than those things are on their own. Joy is our greatest power against the dark.

Herbal medicine is sovereignty, right relationship, & empowerment.

Searching for alternative healing at the threshold into the crone era — I received an inquiry for the 2023 Wild Woman retreat from two therapists from Texas.

Meeting Robyn and Payton over the phone, I learned that Robyn was seeking a totally new kind of healing experience for her wife Payton’s 50th birthday.

As skilled, licensed therapists, they had explored the psycho-therapeutic approach to trauma healing and were searching for something a little different.

They didn’t know exactly WHAT — only that nature & connecting to safety in the body were important factors.

On that first retreat, Payton had one of the most transformative trauma release experiences I have ever seen.

She walked through the death & rebirth journey — emerging with a newfound sense of power & purpose in her life.

Robyn, on the other hand, wasn’t expecting her own life to change. She had come to support her wife’s healing journey.

But throughout the retreat, she began to learn to tune into her OWN experience — realizing she too was there to go through a transformation.

She unlocked her psychic channel and received a spirit visitation from Mary Magdalene herself.

By the end of that first week together, Robyn proudly declared “I’m a witch!”

(Which happens to be a very frequent experience among my new clients).

I later learned that Robyn had no idea how she had found me or my retreat, she was sure that hers and Payton’s guides had sent them to me.

Robyn and Payton have since become long term clients and friends, returning for the 2024 Wild Woman retreat, and becoming the first founding members of the Rose Temple Academy.

The way they have both blossomed into their authenticity, grown and transformed since we met has been incredible to witness.

From women who have known they are witches for lifetimes — yet have some healing and clearing work to do to fully step into their light — like Payton

To women who’s gifts and abilities are just becoming known to them — as they discover they are witches and unlock their powers — like Robyn

I work with women from all walks of life.

Women who are courageous, open, willing and eager to dive deep into their spiritual healing journey 🌿🩷

So much of the “healing” work we see these days is unrooted.

Good medicine requires strong roots.

The Medicine Woman is in direct relation to the land, the ancestors & the unseen spirits who protect the Earth.

Today, I see many ungrounded and disregulated healers and offerings. Disconnected from lineage, disrespectful to the Earth, discarding the importance of grounding and integration.

I am not here to judge the path of others, but I am here to see and speak truth to what I see happening in the world.

Medicines being extracted from their ancient lands and lineages, distorted appropriation of their use, forced and aggressive “healings”.

Modern day colonization and extraction of resources, beauty and people with no reverence or reciprocity to the lands, in the name of “healing”.

Wellness has become an extractive and appropriated nightmare — lacking integrity.

I feel the weight of this, and the responsibility to do my best (and humbly continue learning and unlearning), to be rooted in the good medicine path.

To lay offerings on the Earth.

To offer her my gratitude, my reverence, my friendship.

To say thank you more than please.

To ask permission.

To build relationships with the land I work on & with.

To honour the spirits of the land, and to listen without expectation for their guidance.

To pray for forgiveness.

To be rooted, grounded, and anchored in my teachings.

To embody what I preach.

To say sorry when I misstep.

To be aware of my impact, to tread lightly.

To be in harmony with her, the great Mother, to give and receive in equal measure.

We cannot claim to walk this good medicine path without reverence and awe to her — the Earth.

When our healers are unrooted, ungrounded, out of harmony with her, we must ask “what is the impact of this medicine?”

Can we really ever heal without solid roots?

The Medicine Woman in me knows that the roots are the foundation of good healing.

Right relation with the Earth is always the foundation.

As women, we all have an inner Medicine Woman within who knows this already: we are the bridge between the land, the plants, and the guardian spirits to the human realms.

Leaning into this work has invited discomfort.

Even as a powerful, confident and professional witch, (something I have proudly owned for years)…

There are still deeper layers of subtle fear and resistance to being seen in this work.

The thing about working with the archetype of the witch, is that there are always deeper layers to unravel.

Women have been stripped of our most innate essence — and in the reclamation of it, we awaken the inner witch.

To fully claim her requires uprooting all of the ways you hide from your own power.

It requires facing all of the ways you play small.

It means looking, dead in the eye, at all of the ways you distract and numb yourself.

To avoid having to step into your power.

All the ways you don’t want to be seen.

I know, because even in the creation of this school (a literal witch school) I have had to face the resistance at every step.

It is within her archetypal embodiment that we banish the hexes and persecution we carry in our somatic memory.

We restore women in their power to a place of safety, reverence, and respect.

We begin with the WITCH — because she carries the codes of reclamation of true feminine, spiritual power.

Working with altars happened spontaneously for me.

In fact, even as a little girl I remember carefully arranging beautiful items across my dresser, creating symmetry and shapes.

All throughout my life I have done this in simple, yet elegant and intentional ways.

When I travelled the world, I had a few small items and drawings I would arrange in each place that I stayed.

My study of the stars led me to working with planetary energies and symbolism in my altar building.

I remember an elder witch once asking me if I did ritual. I told her I did.

She asked what I did in my rituals and I told her, she asked who taught me to do that and I just shrugged.

It just happened. I just knew what to do.

She told me I’ve been a witch in many lifetimes.

The thing is, I think most women have been a witch in many lifetimes, because women are naturally witches.

Naturally ruled by the moon,
Naturally one with the seasons,
Naturally feeling the cycles of life,
Naturally powerful, wise, wild, intuitive,
Naturally spiritual…

Women are naturally witches.

When I teach altar building, it’s not about telling you what to do: put this here and that there.

That is not altar building.

Altar building is a deeply intuitive and spiritual practice of a woman listening to the whisper of her heart,

And placing items together, in a way that honours beauty and invokes love.

It is intuitive, intentional, and deeply personal.

There is no wrong way to build an altar, but there is your way.
