I have seen a growing trend of women’s work being infiltrated by the patriarchal conditioning to fawn.

And it makes sense, given our history, that women are still seeking safety through these adaptive mechanisms.

But I’m here to tell you that if LIBERATION is what you seek, it won’t be found there.

Liberation & embodiment of the authentic feminine will feel scary, even dangerous.

It will feel FERAL.

Like you’re ripping the good girl who kept you safe to shreds.

Like you’re becoming all that you were told to never be.

Like you might shock the ones who knew you as easy-going, adaptable, accommodating.

… you might even shock yourself.

We need feminine embodiment now more than ever, because it’s finally safe to even BEGIN to explore these realms.

This path is about uprooting the internalized patriarch, the ancestral legacy of fawning, and the fear that we will lose our safety when we do.

The reclamation of the feminine will not take just one generation.

It will require much more from us than the performative dancing, flowing, and whisping around in long linens.

It will take us beyond twerking in lingerie for the male gaze and calling it sensual expression.

And it will most certainly ask us to confront the deeply entrenched trauma response of fawning.

It will require us to uproot those habitual behaviours & thoughts from our bodies and minds.

It will require us to get honest about the ways in which dominant culture still serves to uphold the patriarchy through grooming.

It will ask that we no longer participate in our own oppression.

It will ask us to stop making feminism (which literally means equal human rights for both sexes) into a dirty word.

And it will be guided by none other than the Wild Woman.

She who embodies all that we have been told is unsafe, and unseemly for women to be.

She who has been repressed, hidden, punished and persecuted.

She who holds the secrets to our true nature.

As a woman who’s been on my own healing journey for over a decade, who guides other women through personal transformation every day,

Here’s what I’ve noticed:

Most women who are on a healing journey don’t actually need more healing

As you read that, you might be thinking “well, what DO I NEED THEN?!”

And I want to invite you into a conversation that asks us to flip the conversation of healing upside down for a moment

Many women who are chronically over-functioning in their lives turn to healing & spirituality

You are an over-achiever

You’re used to holding it all together for your family and community

Your trauma is connected to attuning to others before you attune to self

An adaptive behaviour for a highly sensitive person who existed in an environment where you sensed energetic disharmony

You have a pattern of over-functioning to bring external, and therefore internal harmony

An addiction to healing can become just another way that over-functioning response plays out

The perfectionism in academic or external settings is replaced with an impossible standard of spiritual perfection

The relationship with the divine gets twisted into a reward / punishment dynamic

Where you believe that if you just GET IT RIGHT, you will reap the spiritual rewards of the effort put in

Where rescuer and over-giving tendencies turn into space holding & healing others

And at the root of it all, you become more & more depleted by this exhausting search for perfection

Then the cycle repeats, as you seek for deeper roots of imbalance to send you on yet another spiral of “healing” in the name of somehow, finally, getting it all right

You don’t need healing so much as you need acceptance

Because underneath the high functioning burnout and fatigue

Is a girl searching for love and acceptance

Who thinks she has to earn love (even from creator) to be worthy

You need spaces where you can unfurl

Be seen in your imperfections
Howl your grief and grievances
Be held instead of always holding
Let go of the obsession with fixing
And see yourself as whole

Every year this retreat changes my life.

Just BEING at is a life change experience — the wildest place I have yet to encounter in all my years of searching.

I found the Wild Woman here;

In bare feet and sandy toes,
In collected coconuts & seashells,
In absolute wonder & pure presence,

As the jungle fills my senses and reminds me, there is nowhere to be but here & now.

This place calls home an ancient power within me, a feminine force that I call Wild Woman

And over the years of living, visiting, and hosting 6 retreats here,

I’ve watched as this land has awakened her in the women I am lucky enough to bring with me

To this primordial rainforest sanctuary

The land here holds me, welcomes me, receives me, like no other I know

She whispers to me that I am meant to be here

She tells me to keep bringing the women to her

And so I do.

Year after year, a pilgrimage and a return

A coming home
Not just to this land that loves me,

Life is full of plot twists that we never saw coming. 🌀🐚

Sometimes being a psychic witch is crazy… when I saw my tarot spread for the year I was like:

“Oh boy, some sh*ts gonna go down in August.. hope it’s not about my house” ☠️

The thing is, I was SO ATTACHED to staying in that house that I stopped noticing when it wasn’t aligned for me anymore.

The universe gets loud when we miss the quieter signals.

Mold sickness has been a crazy teacher, showing me the permeability in the way I have allowed toxicity into my life and asking me to mend the gaps.

It’s shown me the energetic signature of over-functioning that leads to a pattern of depletion and the life force that can be extracted through that pattern.

It’s taught me to slow down, be gentle with myself, and soften my self-imposed standards of perfection.

It’s helped me understand how many women’s nervous systems are depleted and how many are suffering from adrenal fatigue and burnout.

It’s forced me to reprogram spiritual beliefs about reward and punishment.

To understand that sometimes my higher self is leading me in an unexpected direction, and that doesn’t mean I “failed” the test.

It’s forced me to vulnerably request support, and even more vulnerably open to receiving the support I needed.

It has invited me to a deeper relationship with my body, my nourishment, and the ways I honour and promote my vitality.

It taught me to deprioritize everything that wasn’t essential or reciprocal, including many relationships.

It helped me to see who was still there when I had nothing to give.

It taught me fierce boundaries.

It reminded me that clarity arrives in small pieces sometimes, because the whole truth would be too much to process all at once.

It helped me trust God. And remember there is a higher plan, my souls plan, for my life.

That my ego is the one who suffers when this plan is unclear, or calls for big changes.

The new timeline is tenderly unfolding, and for now, I’m trusting the process.

I took space from being online to really be present with myself and in tune with my intuition as I navigated these changes.

And now, I’m back. Thanks for following along.

The process of Alchemy requires a descent.

We are not reborn without the death first.

And it will cost us everything.

The descent is the plunge into the darkness, the embrace of all we have deemed not good.

The alchemist first notices.
“Ahhh, this is initiation”

Then, willingly, consciously, choosing it, (or not),
She descends.

Allows the darkness to claim her fully.
Is swallowed wholely by her fears.

Not without trepidation,
But with courage.

She does not know what she will find.
In her life, her own psyche, her story, her body.

But something must die, and she must be taken with it.

Down to the underworld she goes.
Blind in the dark.

Falling, flailing, or gliding gracefully,
It matters not.

What she meets here will not be lovely.

And yet, she will love it into loveliness.

Eventually… but first…

She descends.

Crumbling, crying, crawling.

Ripping at the walls as she tumbles.
Willing or unwilling, the dark is taking her.

And down she must go.
The first step of alchemy is to burn it all down.
