well, after 11 years, SBA is officially closed! 🥹

Good news though! The clinic space is still a massage therapy clinic under the new name of “Leslieville Massage Therapy” under new ownership of one of my existing RMTs Katie Dibe. Kristina Pearsall will also remain on site.

Today is a very special day, as I celebrate 11 years in business- during an eclipse no less! 🌝 🥳

It’s been a whirlwind experience which has allowed me to work alongside some of the most talented RMTs, as well as getting to know so many members of our community.

Shout-out to all the small business owners with store fronts. No one will ever truly understand the behind the scenes work involved to keep things running smoothly. It is truly a labour of love.

This anniversary marks the last for SBA, (🥹) as I am about to embark on some new endeavors and have transferred the lease as of May 1 to Katie Dibe - who has been working here for many years.
I am thrilled that this space will ‘stay in the family’ and Katie, and Kristina Pearsall will continue to offer RMT services, under a new name.

I’ll be rounding out my massage therapy career at a new clinic just over the bridge near Queen/River St. Please visit our website (in comments) for all relevant information.

Thanks so much to everyone who has made this little clinic space what it is today. I hope you enjoy the next iteration as one of the best Massage Therapy clinics in Leslieville.

🎉We are celebrating a HUGE milestone today! 🎉

Way back in 2013 I made the decision to open a massage therapy clinic in the community I lived and worked in. It’s hard to believe that was a decade ago!!

10 years as a small business owner is no small task. I’m proud of myself for staying the course through all of the inevitable ebbs and flows of running a business.

I’ve been able to surpass all of my goals in terms of giving back to the community (to the tune of $30,000!), being able to mentor some of my past RMTs into opening their own clinic spaces, and meeting thousands of members of our community and hearing your stories.

Running a small business takes an incredible amount of teamwork. I’m forever grateful for my wonderful team of RMTs, my ever-gracious landlady Nora, my neighbours who take turns with me raking/shoveling and keeping our front patios clean & welcoming and YOU!

Our lovely clients are the heart and soul of SBA. Your stories, triumphs, dedication to yourselves and others has been warming my heart for 10 years. It is our absolute privilege to be part of your wellness journey and to have you entrust us with your care.

We’re staying the course for many more years and look forward to working with those of you we haven’t met yet.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. This has truly been a dream come true and I’m so grateful for every step of the way.

Set your clocks ahead 1 hour when you go to sleep tonight. Hooray for lingering evening light! 🌅

Time changes can be difficult to adjust to- be gentle with yourself! A nice hot bath, plenty of water and some gentle stretching can help.
