Hi friends, I’m Ava, part of the storefront team here at Roncy’s Apothecary & Clinic!

I am currently studying for a diploma in acupuncture. From a young age, have felt drawn to a career where I can help others - first inspired by my mother, who is an acupuncturist, and more recently by my own healing journey with acupuncture in my late teens and early twenties.

I am particularly passionate about community acupuncture and its ability to increase access to care, so I am very happy to be working here at the apothecary & clinic!

As part of my training, I am learning about herbal medicine and enjoy doing my own reading and research alongside my studies.

In my spare time, I love spending time in nature, writing poetry, and cooking.

I love to chat about acupuncture and herbs—so come say hi!

Throwback to when we first started working on our rebrand in 2023👀

⏪ 2023-2024 was a year of transition. With a shift to new names, branding, and ownership, there were a lot of emotions - it was exciting, there was a lot of learning, and was a bit overwhelming at times.

💕We strived to maintain our values, quality products, and amazing services and we’d like to think we’ve done a pretty good job at that! 😏

🙏So thank you to our team and community for everything. And we can’t wait to see how this new year unfolds!

Our annual sunday mindful meditation workshop is back!

🧘🏻‍♀️ Starting tomorrow, Doug Householder will be leading his meditation workshop every week [Sundays @ 11AM until the end of March // closed Feb 8, Mar 15 & 21].
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧘🏻‍♀️ Each session will guide you in exploring the thinking mind, how to slow it down and combat excessive stress, relieve anxiety, and promote a state of peace.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧘🏻‍♀️ The details:
- The workshop is a combination of guided meditation, silent meditation, and breathwork
- Each session will be 1 hour long & will start promptly at 11AM. Please arrive on 5 minutes before start time as the doors will be locked when the session starts.
- Our suggested pay is $20, please bring cash for payment the day of.
- No reservations needed - just show up the day of the workshop!

🐣As Dr. Emily Rotella, ND, steps back from community acupuncture with her new baby, Lisa will continue to share her experience with the Roncy community!

🧘🏻‍♀️She brings a calm, grounded presence to each session, providing thoughtful treatment, practical guidance, and a welcoming environment for everyone seeking care.

❤️Her clinical work spans many areas, with a strong emphasis on fertility and reproductive health, as well as experience in oncology support, pelvic floor therapy, auricular and cosmetic acupuncture.

🌿Lisa is honoured to share her fertility-focused experience and looks forward to supporting you on your wellness journey!

This week, we’re giving a big, heartfelt goodbye to Sarah — one of our wonderful herbal associates who’s been with us since 2023! 💚

👩🏻‍⚕️ She joined us as a naturopathic student and stuck with us through our 2023 transition (what a year!). Since then, she’s graduated, passed her board exams, and officially became a licensed ND — we’re so proud of her!

🌿 As she steps into her new clinical journey, she’s taking a step back from the shop to focus on building her practice. We’ve loved having her as part of our team for the past two years, and we can’t wait to see her naturopathic career grow and thrive ✨

❄️ Our shifts will be closed the last 2 weeks of December for our annual winter break (storefront will still be opened, holiday hours to be posted at a later date).
