If you grew up being compared to your siblings, whether you were called the “golden child” or the “black sheep,” you’re not alone. In many children of immigrant households, comparison was used as a tool to motivate, but it often left deep emotional wounds. You are allowed to define your worth outside of those roles. Your path is valid, your pace is enough, and your healing is your own. And your siblings deserve the same freedom too.
