❄️ WINTER NEWSLETTER HIGHLIGHTS - KNOWLEDGE TRANSLATION ❄️
This winter, we’re launching our Knowledge Translation Series to share new research and discoveries relevant to artist health.
In this edition, we explore how mindfulness and the Alexander Technique can help manage stress through a simple but powerful approach: pause, observe, intend.
Research published in the European Journal of Integrative Medicine shows that practicing these techniques helps individuals feel more present, respond to situations with greater awareness, and approach change with curiosity instead of forcing it.
The Alexander Technique is a method that teaches body awareness to release unnecessary tension, improve posture, and move with greater ease. For over 100 years, it has supported people in daily life and creative practice by helping them notice and change unhelpful habits at the mind-body level.
At the Artist Health Centre, Alexander Technique sessions are offered every Wednesday.
