How do I live in this body? Read the caption to find out⬇️

Are you feeling confused about wellness? You're not alone. For over ten years I have seen people in my office who just want to "understand what's happening" in their bodies. (And also feel better). I have decided to share the basics on being in a body in a bigger conversation in this online community with you.

For those of you new to this page, welcome. I'm Jill Bodak, Author of Loved Into Being and Osteopath here in Toronto Ontario. I firmly believe when we consume concepts in small doses over time, even the most challenging concepts become familiar.

If you're here, it means you're tuning into an exploration of what it truly means to be well. Thanks for being part of this community.

I will share education, tips, tricks, and thoughts on wellness that have helped me, many others, and might help you too.

yours in movement,
Jill🫶

About Us

Hey, We are Marc and Jill and we’re thrilled to welcome you to get to know a new kind of health centre opening here in Toronto.

Original Health and Wellness is part private clinical practice, part walk-in osteopathic manual care.

The first major limitation in busy private practice is the difficulty in responding to acute-care patients in urgent need. Our practices have become so busy that it is often a two or three week wait to get an appointment. But when a patient injures themselves or wakes up with a stiff something in their body, it’s impossible to fit them in the day-of the incident - which is when they need help most. Thus far, we’ve been fitting-in acute patients before/after work or on our lunch breaks, but it’s not enough time to accommodate everyone. Consequently, we wanted to open a space to accommodate patients in immediate need every day, by designating time, space and practitioners to treat walk-in patients. This walk-in concept isn’t limited to acute injuries either. Perhaps your schedule hasn’t allowed you to get that nagging chronic pain looked at but suddenly, your day opens up. Where can you go to get quality care on short notice? Often in Toronto, people looking for day-of care end up shopping around online for a practitioner who can see them because they aren’t busy that day. But is that really the best care? The walk-in clinic remedies this problem by creating a space where you can get treated THAT day, without an appointment, by a practitioner with strong clinical experience and space in their schedule designed to respond to patients in urgent need. For these reasons, we are so proud to be opening the first walk-in Osteopathic Treatment Clinic in Toronto.

The second limitation is Time. It’s 2020 in Toronto - to say that everyone is busy is an understatement. We acknowledge that while osteopathy is an incredibly powerful tool to restore and maintain health and vitality, we can’t omit other necessary components to holistic health. We are all about Body, Mind and Motion. That’s why we’ve staffed our clinic with practitioners that we think complement our practice and treatment process. We have acupuncture, massage therapy, talk therapy and regular movement and mind workshops to further teach people how to care for their whole self. Nobody has time to go looking for all the right places to piece together their health. This space was created to save time, by having modalities on site that allow you to “Bring your whole self here.”
