Cervicogenic dizziness is is a syndrome characterized by the presence of dizziness and neck pain.
We often hear our jaw pain patients complain of vertigo, instability, or lack of awareness of space and time alongside their jaw pain. Cervicogenic dizziness is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning once all other tests have come out negative it may be diagnosed.
We have skilled practitioners who can thoroughly and accurately assess the vestibular system and the head/neck to rule out certain vertigo pathologies. More often than not these patients do not suffer from vertigo but rather cervicogenic dizziness. It is important for patients and practitioners to understand where their dizziness is coming from in order to treat successfully.
