There are a few more days left to register for our upcoming webinar to learn more about Digestive Health, Nutrition and Naturopathic Medicine. The session will be led by Dr. Sejal Parikh-Shah, ND this coming Monday, March 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. Register at ccnmclinics.ca/digestive-health.

Dr. Sejal Parikh-Shah, ND graduated from the University of Toronto with an honours in Molecular Genetics and a minor in Psychology. She graduated from CCNM in 1994, after which she started a private practice. Currently, Dr. Sejal is a part-time clinic faculty at both the Schad Naturopathic Clinic and the Peel Naturopathic Clinic. She is also a TA in 3rd-year courses; Primary Care and Emergency Medicine.

In her practice, she emphasizes diet and nutrition, lifestyle counselling, botanical medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine. Her practice focuses on women and children’s health. Her interest in special needs, specifically, Down Syndrome, started with her pregnancy of her youngest child, Jai.

Dr. Jonathan Prousky, MSc, MA, ND, is the Chief Naturopathic Medical Officer at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Toronto, Ontario). His primary responsibility is ensuring the delivery of safe and effective naturopathic medical care to patients, as well as ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the medical training in the naturopathic program. He has lectured extensively on various health-related topics throughout North America to medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, other health-care providers and patients at numerous conferences and health fairs.

He was the first naturopathic doctor to receive the “Orthomolecular Doctor of the Year” award in 2010, and to be inducted into the Orthomolecular Hall of Fame in 2017. Dr. Prousky is the author of more than 60 scholarly publications, including several consumer and naturopathic texts. His clinical practice focus is primarily on the evaluation and management of mental health problems. He has spent over 25 years advocating and working with patients that wish to receive integrative care to help their mental health struggles.
