If we are being honest my fitness career/business has been on the baaaack burner for a while.

I gained some weight over Covid, grew a bigger b***y which came with bigger legs & less abs. I fell into a hole of comparison and not feeling worthy enough to train others. If I gained weight, how was I supposed to motivate others to reach their fitness goals and how could I preach what I was not currently practicing???😵‍💫🥴

But then I was talking to a client (and a friend), who I said these exact things to. They looked at me and said “how awesome is it to have a trainer that can relate to us so much? You aren’t some 100% all the time, non stop fitness lover. You are a human, just like the ones you train. And that is why I like you so much, you’re relatable and you constantly show us how fitness is part of everyday life”

Fitness is NOT a one size fits all, it’s NOT a linear process, and it looks a little different for everyone.
I never became less worthy of being a trainer, I gained new experience & knowledge, a new mindset around becoming strong & healthy. For that, I am grateful…

And so excited that I am ready to take on new clients! 🤩 there is only a few weeks left of 2021, let’s get after it nowwwwww!

Sticking to the basics & feeling stronger each lift. I have really made an effort to focus in on the movements I want to improve on and only one week in I can already tell the benefits of following this program 👊👏

I have not seen this kind of definition in my legs since I was so skinny it looked like I had definition everywhere 😅

Hip thrusts, deadlift variations, squats, lunge variations, leg press are my go to leg movements. I’m currently doing lower body 3x per week to grow them legggggs 🍑🤩

⏱ How many times have you heard “ I don’t have enough time “

Personally, I know I hear it from 98% of people. Whether it be time for working out or meal prepping, time to unwind and relax or time to just get s**t done. I have heard it alllll.

But the harsh reality is, you probably do have the time. You just have to figure out what you want to make time for.

➡️ Did you watch some Netflix today but still said you had “no time” to move your body?

➡️ Did you drive to, wait in line and then eat whatever you had for lunch because you “didn’t have time” to make anything?

➡️ Did you sit on your phone scrolling but still told yourself you “didnt have time” to get a sufficent amount of rest at night?

PLEASE STOP LYING TO YOURSELF. That person you see fitting everything into their day doesn’t have more time than you. They are prioritizing their time. Those people know what they need and want to get done, and go do it. 🤷‍♀️

PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION 👏

Gaining muscle usually means gaining some weight. At first this was a pretty hard concept for me to handle. I had spend so much time trying to lose weight that gaining any was my worst fear.

Over the last 5 ish months I have learned so much about myself and my strength. I realized how little I really was eating, how I wasn’t fueling my workouts properly, and how much my body could change when I really pushed it.

Gaining some weight hasn’t necessarily been easy and I still have days where I feel uncomfortable, but I still show up. I work hard and remind myself why I started. 🤩🤩

One of my favourite things about my job is watching my clients transform. Not only physically but also with their self confidence, their confidence in the gym & their relationship with me. As a trainer, I absolutely love getting to know my clients on a personal level and truly believe this helps clients become more comfortable and willing to put in the work with you.

Although we may not be able to celebrate like past years, this is your friendly reminder that it’s okay to eat some candy & enjoy it. One night (or weekend) of eating candy IS NOT going to ruin all your progress.

I have seen SO many posts referring to “if you eat this chocolate bar, this is how much exercise you’ll have to do to burn it off” NO ❌ PLEASE DO NOT listen to these, PLEASE DO NOT workout just to earn eating food. FOOD IS FUEL. Eat the damn candy and kill your workout Monday because that candy is going to fuel you.
