February is National Therapeutic Recreation Month!

Therapeutic recreation uses meaningful leisure activities to promote health, emotional wellbeing, skills and abilities. At the Aphasia Institute our Coordinator, Recreation and Community Integration help our members participate in a wide range of activities in the community. These recreational and leisure activities offer opportunities to try new things, socialize with others, build skills and life experience as a person living with aphasia.
