Check out our summer social group for neurodivergent folx ages 18-25: Our Place!
There's still time to register before we start next week!

Our Place is a social group collaboratively designed by therapists & young adults, for neurodivergent peers ages 18 - 25. Designed to challenge the limitations of neurotypical social norms, Our Place offers a welcoming, affirming space where outside-the-box thinkers can unmask, connect, & just be themselves. In this peer-led environment, participants can build genuine connections with people who truly get them, while exploring familiar & new interests at their own pace. Each week, we'll come together to share some snacks, stories, & experiences! We can't wait to meet you!

Profile for Private Practioner: Michelle L. Guy MSW,RSW,C*C

Hello there! I am Michelle Guy MSW, RSW, C*C. I am a private practice Social Worker, Counsellor, and Child/Adolescent Therapist. I work with children, youth, and adults both in-office and Online (via video calling). The clients I typically see struggle with issues of self-esteem and self-worth, peer and family relationships, school or social issues, asynchronous development, self-harm, unresolved trauma, and anxious thoughts. My clients typically have goals associated with feeling safe, managing or alleviating symptoms of mental health issues, building and adding to their skills and coping approaches, and learning about their brain and exploring what makes them who they are. I use integrated, client-focused approaches to meet each person’s unique individual needs.

I have over 25 years experience working with children/youth, adults, and their families in various capacities as a child and youth counsellor, child therapist and in a social worker role. I am currently registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) and practice as a Therapist/Counsellor. My services are often covered by private insurance plans. I provide ongoing therapy and solution-focused care. I help clients to understand and manage symptoms of anxiety/depression, giftedness, 2e, ADHD, self-regulation, and trauma, through use of CBT, DBT, relational therapy, PACE, art, play, and other approaches.

I come with a unique perspective of ADHD, anxiety issues, and giftedness and I am experienced working with families using alternative education styles. I stay up to date on the latest approaches in my practice. I have provided workshops on topics including parenting, mental health and child welfare, and run specialized groups for youth and parents.
