This new giving circle is bringing together a powerful community of men committed to advancing healthcare at Humber River Health.

MoMENtum is one of two Giving Circles launched by the Hennick Humber Hospital Foundation. Alongside Humber Heels, this initiative is built on the idea that collective giving, shared leadership, and strong connections can drive meaningful impact.

From advancing surgical innovation to supporting critical equipment and patient care, MoMENtum donors will champion high-priority needs across the hospital, helping shape the future of care in our community.

Weā€™re building a network of men who want to do more, professionally, personally, and philanthropically.

Derek serves as Global Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, Canada at Multiplex, where he oversees global finance, capital allocation, and strategic initiatives while leading the companyā€™s Canadian operations.

With a wealth of experience in finance, governance, and large-scale project leadership, Derek brings valuable perspective to the Foundation as we continue advancing innovation and excellence in care at Humber River Health. We look forward to the insight and leadership he will bring in supporting the hospital and our community.

This National Volunteer Week, weā€™re recognizing the people who bring our mission to life every day.

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of Hennick Humber Hospital Foundation. They give their time, their energy, and their care to help shape the future of healthcare in our community.

Mary Mauti is one of those incredible individuals. For more than a decade, her leadership and dedication have helped guide countless initiatives forward. As Mary shares, ā€œI'm very proud to be part of this hospital community, as it leads with innovation, technology, and patient centered care.ā€

On April 10, Humber River Healthā€™s Wilson site was officially renamed Hennick Humber Hospital in recognition of a transformational $50 million gift from Jay and Barbara Hennick through the Hennick Family Foundation.

One of the largest philanthropic investments ever made to a community hospital in Canada, this extraordinary contribution will help advance patient care, fuel innovation, and strengthen research and education for years to come.

This is more than a name change. It marks the beginning of whatā€™s next.

Friday, April 10th was a day our hospital will never forget.

From the announcement of our new name to the powerful words shared by our Foundation President and CEO, Jennifer Stewart, this event marked more than a milestone. It marked the beginning of a new chapter for our hospital and for the future of healthcare in our community.

We are incredibly grateful to Jay & Barbara Hennick and Family for their remarkable generosity, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate this historic day.
