Meet Claire, one of our Resident Physiotherapists 🫶
Claire has engaged in an active lifestyle from a young age through her involvement in dance. Her passion for dance has evolved over time into an interest in movement and health. Claire earned her Bachelor of Human Kinetics with Honours in Movement Science, and a minor in Psychology from the University of Windsor. While studying, she also worked as a dance instructor, teaching jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, pre-pointe, lyrical and early years classes. Through this role, she developed skills in assessing technique, providing individualized feedback, and promoting injury prevention. She went on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University, where she gained diverse clinical experience through placements in inpatient oncology, occupational health, pediatrics and sports rehabilitation. These experiences have shaped her approach to care, emphasizing the importance of patient-centered care and goals, and empowering patients to be an active participant in their recovery process. Committed to life-long learning, Claire values evidence-based practice and is excited to pursue further education in manual therapy and taping. Claire is new to Toronto and is excited to explore the city. Outside of work, she enjoys taking dance, spin and yoga classes. She also likes weightlifting and running. In practice, Claire offers a variety of management interventions, including patient education, exercise, and manual therapy, always tailoring treatments to individual client goals. She is passionate about helping others and improving and maintaining their quality of life.
