☆ Part 3: The Food

We had a big breakfast at our hotel so we only needed on-the-go snacks during the day until our 6pm dinner in SNW. We got smoked chicken, hot dogs, ice cream, and I don’t remember what else, lol. This VIP package offers 10% off restaurant meals including Kinopio’s Café where the tour ended. Our guide walked us in, we ordered right away and were sat at a table within minutes! The food is actually really good for a theme park menu! 🍔🍝🍰

We ordered:
• Mario’s Bacon Cheeseburger
• Luigi’s Green Curry Chicken Sandwich
• Fire Flower Spaghetti & Meatballs
• Yoshi’s Spinach Carbonara
• Teriyaki Chicken and Super Star Rice
• Goal Pole Cake
• And a few drinks

We got a booth next to a screen that showed the inside of Toad’s Kitchen and it was adorably entertaining. The food came quickly and the waiters excitedly had us pose for photos before we dug in 🙋🏻‍♀️ Everything was delicious, my favourites were the teriyaki chicken and the cake but it was all very good, no regrets. If anything, I wanted to order more but 5 mains plus dessert and drinks was a lot for 4 people 😆 We were stuffed!

I’m glad we had dinner here instead of lunch, we wouldn’t have had the same appetite midday. Plus, I wanted to take advantage of the sun/park views since most of the attractions are outside and you need to dry off after the water rides. Even though I wanted a morning slot during my planning (which wasn’t available on this Monday), the 3pm time worked out so much better because by 6pm we were ready to chow down. The tour passed by really fast, at first I was worried it would be quite long but it was the perfect amount of time to do all the SNW rides (plus a Minion ride), shop, take photos with characters, and have short breaks. We never felt rushed and I’m super glad we didn’t have to think twice about chasing passes, waiting in line, and snagging dinner reservations.

If you can add this experience to your VIP Experience, I highly recommend it! 🍄

I don’t want to take my tree down 😂🎄 It’s neatly tucked in the corner of the family room beside the fireplace, and it’s such a to-do! But I’ll put it away soon… it’s blocking a bookcase I need to organize, lol. Am I the only one with Christmas decorations still up in April? 🫣 Mind you it SNOWED recently so the weather isn’t encouraging ❄️

When I opened a gift shop, I intended for it to be mostly stationery related… but it slowly morphed into a toy store and it was awesome 😂✏️💌📚🧸

Thank you to every single person that was a part of that bonkers adventure! Pivoting to hosting events over the years has been amazingly fun, hope to see you at my upcoming shows! 🫶

☆ Part 2: The Rides

After we had unlimited cold drinks in the VIP Lounge, our guide introduced himself at our table to go over the itinerary, and the group tour began promptly at 3pm. We were given lots of behind-the-scenes tidbits along the way as we walked to Minion Mayhem. This ride is a BUMPY one! 😅 But it was cute and fun, think Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure but with a lot more thrusting, lol.

Then, it was time! Our awesome guide took photos for us at the SNW entrance and we walked right in!

★ Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge 🏎️🌈🏁
We took the private elevators to Bowser’s Castle, our guide snapped more photos for us, and we went through secret passageways to skip the entire queue! 🏰 We got our AR headsets and glasses, and before we knew it we were in the car, the music started, and we were shouting our way through the game 😂 This was SO FUN, the best interactive ride ever! 👏 Photos and POV videos don’t do this justice, it’s impossible to see the whole vision without the full in-person experience 😎🎮 I LOVED all of the elements, it was such a treat to be immersed in one of my favourite childhood games. I scored 113 coins 🪙

★ Donkey Kong: Mine Cart Madness 🦍🍌🎢
Again, we went straight on! This coaster has a few drops that I was not expecting and it was AWESOME 😃 The entire ride is a lot of fun and everything is adorably constructed. You feel like you’re in the game especially with the cartoon tracks, scenery and the music!

★ Yoshi’s Adventure 🦖🥚🌳
The most relaxing ride I’ve ever been on, even more than the PeopleMover 😄 We went the VIP route and took a bunch of photos as we bypassed the lines. It has a great view of the entire area, there’s so much to see. The animatronics are adorable and I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. I could’ve stayed on for 10 more rounds!

This goes for all 3 SNW rides, I could spend a whole day here. This was 100% worth the VIP package, we didn’t wait at all and the entire 3 hours flew by!

☆ Part 1: The Rundown

Let’s get right into it! I’ve been to Universal Orlando a handful of times so I only wanted to go to USJ for SNW. To get guaranteed access and to secure the new rides, I opted for the 3-hour “Universal VIP group tour SUPER NINTENDO WORLD + Kinopio’s Café Priority Ticket” package. I purchased the event passes (and studio passes) from the official USJ website 3 months out with an AMEX. You have to know exactly when tickets go on sale because they sell out fast! I was lurking the website a month prior to familiarize myself with the info and to practice the checkout process. I also watched a bunch of ’s videos so I knew what to expect in the park! I wanted to know all of the ins and outs to plan accordingly without any missteps.

This VIP package consists of a tour guide that brought us behind the scenes AND gave us front-of-the-line access to my goal rides: Mine Cart Madness, Mario Kart, and Yoshi’s Adventure (it also included another ride so ours did Minion Mayhem since JAWS was closed). Each person also gets 4 Express Passes to other popular attractions. This package offers 10% off restaurant meals including Kinopio’s Café where the tour ended (I will give details on the rides, food and VIP cost in later posts).

We went on a Monday and got there at 11am to avoid the masses, browsed Citywalk, and entered the park at 11:30am to get our VIP package - it was super quick and easy! Our tour was at 3pm so we wanted to start using our Express Passes right away. We hopped onto Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, and Jurassic Park - The Ride (use the VIP ponchos or else you’ll get soaked)! These passes were awesome, we didn’t have to wait in any of the general queues!

After a quick bite, we caught a bit of the parade and went to the VIP Lounge for complimentary drinks before the tour began. It was a welcomed break to relax for 20 min before meeting our guide and joining our group.

JET LAG… I haven’t slept properly in weeks! But truly, what a privilege it is to travel for leisure to other parts of the world ✈️🗾🏯🎏 I’ll gladly adapt to Japan’s time zone whenever I get the chance! Sebastian is grumpy but he agrees 🤗

One of my most happiest days! 😸💙

This is a quick glimpse of my Doraemon adventures in Japan! 🇯🇵 I could’ve spent hours at the , admiring the original works and eating through the cafe menu. The Doraemonja Curry dish is HUGE! 🍛 Everything was delicious and I wish I could’ve eaten more, lol.

I got a lot of exclusive items including the Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Exhibition hardcover with my favourite comics, but my post prized souvenirs are the custom stamps we made from these automated machines! 😃

I truly had the best time, those of you that know how much I love this robocat can imagine how elated I was 🥹🤖😺 More trip photos are coming!

(Special mention for Q-Taro because I loved him too) 👻
