I work with adults who are feeling stressed and axnious: they may worry, panic or feel shy in social situations, may try to be perfect, may feel badly about themselves, or wish to express themselves more effectively, or to set clearer boundaries with others, or to be more assertive. I also work with people from the straight and LGBTQ communities who are experiencing challenges in their relationshi

ps, with sexuality, sexual orientation, alternative relationships, alternative sexualities, and gender (including transition). Many experience these challenges, but some may lose a sense of balance in their lives or the ability to enjoy life and relationships while trying to sort out their concerns. I am a highly-trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and I work from a Solution-Focused, strengths-based and anti-oppressive perspective. My office is a safe space to explore your concerns and how we can work through them together. I can address all aspects of my clients' lives including friendships, family, culture and spirituality. I am a Registered Psychotherapist, registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor, certified by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto and an Advanced Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre / University of Toronto. My work is collaborative, affirming and inclusive.

Two men kissing may have been the trigger for the mass shooting in Orlando FL early Sunday morning. ENOUGH. Enough LGBTQ folk have been lost senselessly through violence and oppression and disease when much could have been done to remedy it. Come out to Pride this month and kiss whoever you want to kiss, and love whoever you want to love, and CELEBRATE FIERCELY without fear. Kiss on the street TODAY, to remind everyone that we all have the right to love who we love and be celebrated for who we are and for loving and not hating. If others are uncomfortable, GOOD - change can start with that. If others are supportive, WONDERFUL - they can help make more change. Now is the time to speak out and act out against hate and oppression. For inspiration, please read about Shadi Petosky and her collage . Thanks for being exactly who you are. David
