As part of our Remembrance Day reflections, our residents spent time today sharing their memories and stories from wartime. The room was filled with quiet reflection, heartfelt conversation, and deep respect for those who lived through such extraordinary times.
Listening to their experiences — of courage, resilience, and hope — reminded us how important it is to keep these stories alive for future generations.

🌺 Remembrance Day Service 🌺 Today’s Remembrance Day service was absolutely beautiful. Our residents came together to honour and remember the brave men and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom. The room was filled with reflection, gratitude, and unity — a true testament to the strength and spirit of our community. We were touched to see so many in attendance; every seat was filled as we stood together in silence to remember those who served and those who continue to serve.
Lest we forget. ❤️

🌺 Honouring Remembrance Day Together 🌺
Our residents have been busy this week preparing special poppy mementos to honour Remembrance Day. ❤️ They’ve been thoughtfully decorating their walkers, wheelchairs, and lapels with beautiful poppies — each one a small but meaningful symbol of gratitude and remembrance for those who served.
It’s heartwarming to see the pride and reflection in our community as we take time to remember and honour the sacrifices made for our freedom. 🌹

🇨🇦 Honouring Our Veterans with Love and Remembrance 🇨🇦 Our residents have been hard at work creating a stunning outdoor poppy display to show our veterans just how much we care and how deeply we value our freedom. ❤️
This evening, local students joined us to plant the poppies in the ground — a beautiful intergenerational moment to ensure our youth never forget the sacrifices made for the lives we enjoy today. 🌺
Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., we will hold a special ceremony to honour the day and pay tribute to all who served. Everyone is welcome to join us as we remember, reflect, and give thanks.

🎄🍪 Calling All Bakers! 🍪🎄Our Holiday Market is coming up Friday November 28th, and we need baked good donations for our Bake Sale & Café! 🧁 All proceeds will help rebuild a seniors’ home in Jamaica damaged by Hurricane Melissa. 💛Bring your favorite holiday treats or stop by to shop, snack, and support a great cause!

🎨🖌️ Movember Madness at MRR! 😄 Our creative residents got into the Mo-vember spirit this week by crafting and painting some seriously stylish moustaches! From curly cues to handle-bars, our residents showed off their artistic flair — and their new fashionable ‘staches too! 👨🏻‍🎨👩🏼‍🎨
There was laughter, paint, and a whole lot of moustache magic in the air! 💙
