Jimmy Kim an alumni at York University has always been enthusiastic about fitness and education. As a former highschool rugby player, amateur boxer, Muay Thai fighter and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu player, he knows a thing or two about getting physical. He has a passion for Kettlebell training and specializes in strength and conditioning. He has developed and honed his skills to give his clients an excellent program which focuses on a balanced workout, proper form and technique. Jimmy enjoys helping the client attain their goals and is willing to do anything it takes to get you in shape!

Tuesday morning I nearly fainted in the studio and had to get Gina to rush me over to Western Hospital. After 36 hours in the waiting room, the doctors found my appendix was extremely inflamed — and I was taken in for emergency surgery.

I’m out now and recovering, and I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

To my friends, family, and all the incredible members at Jimmy’s who sent messages — I’m reading them now and they are lifting my spirits more than you know. ❤️

A massive shoutout to the Jimmy’s Athletics team for stepping up last minute, covering shifts, and taking on leadership roles without hesitation. You guys are the backbone of this community.

I’ll be resting this weekend and coming back stronger than ever next week. Thank you all for the love and support. 🙏❤️🥊

The hardest punch to teach? The uppercut. 💥

Most beginners swing it wild — but the sweet science is all about timing, rotation, and intent.

Here’s how I teach it ⬇️
🥊 Step 1: Throw the hook — let the hips rotate.
🥊 Step 2: That rotation sets your base.
🥊 Step 3: Dig the uppercut — elbow tight, legs under you, SNAP!

Uppercuts aren’t random punches… they’re precision weapons. When you land one right, you’ll feel the difference.
