Jimmy's Athletics 🥊 Boxing Classes - 1-1 + Semi Private Personal Training - Group Fitness Classes

Jimmy Kim an alumni at York University has always been enthusiastic about fitness and education. As a former highschool rugby player, amateur boxer, Muay Thai fighter and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu player, he knows a thing or two about getting physical. He has a passion for Kettlebell training and specializes in strength and conditioning. He has developed and honed his skills to give his clients an excellent program which focuses on a balanced workout, proper form and technique. Jimmy enjoys helping the client attain their goals and is willing to do anything it takes to get you in shape!

We learned something this year:
You can’t do everything in one day…
…but apparently you can do A LOT in a year. 😅

We boxed.
We lifted.
We hit PRs.
Some of us rehabbed and got back to the sports we love.
Kids took over the gym (in the best way).
And we somehow launched Rock Steady Boxing while still remembering where we left our water bottles.

Big thanks to everyone who sweated, laughed, and showed up — even on the days you didn’t feel like it. Next year… we go again. 👊🔥

👀 Coming back after surgery is humbling. 🙇‍♂️ 

Week two post-appendicitis and I’m moving better — but I’m still listening.

Heavy lifts are scaled back.

Bodyweight work? Surprisingly the hardest part.

Recovery isn’t about rushing or proving anything.

It’s about consistency, patience, and showing up.

If you’re coming back from injury or time off — you’re not behind. ❤️ 

You’re rebuilding.

☝️ First workout back after getting my appendix removed two weeks ago 🙏
Keeping it super light — just basic movements and easing the body back in.

I can’t believe how much strength I lost in such a short time… and wow, the soreness the next day was REAL 😅
But it felt so good to break a light sweat again. Movement really is medicine.

If you’re coming back from time off, remember: slow is still progress. One step at a time.
