Making Sense Together: Individual Counselling
I work with people on understanding themselves, being more self aware and their relationship with others. I do this by working with my clients in discovering patterns, understanding their organizing principals and themselves with others. People come to see me for many reasons. Some might be feeling stuck, dealing with a tough moment in their life and n

eed someone to listen to them and help make sense of what is happening for them. Everyone's story is different. I can help. Some of the areas of my work:
Depression & Anxiety
Addictions
Relationship Counseling
Unresolved Childhood Issues
Self Worth Issues (inner and outer self image)
Mental Health Concerns
Career and/or Big life Changes
First Time Partent Anxieties
Infertility Issues

Loss & Grief

Working With Couples to Building a Stronger Connection: Working with couples is about understanding both individuals and how they come together. My job is to help you navigate through your relationship and help you both feel more connected throughout communication and intimacy. Parent Counselling: A deeper self-understanding can help you raise children to thrive. Parent Therapy is a good practice to understand your own experiences and feelings around life and parenting and how this may impact your child. For expecting parents as well.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. We believe meaningful change doesn’t come from sudden breakthroughs alone, it’s built through consistent, intentional steps.

Small, steady shifts, showing up for yourself, exploring difficult thoughts, practicing new ways of coping, can lead to lasting transformation. Over time, these moments build trust in yourself, strengthen your relationships, and support sustainable growth.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. We’re here to help you move forward at your pace, in your way.

Grief isn’t always loud or obvious.
It doesn’t always look like crying or heartbreak.

Sometimes, it’s subtle. Quiet. Confusing.

It can show up as constant tiredness, feeling disconnected from yourself, or not enjoying things the way you used to. You might find yourself pulling away from people, struggling to focus, or wondering why everything suddenly feels heavier.

And the hardest part?
You might not even realize it’s grief.

Not all grief comes from losing a person. It can come from endings, changes, unmet expectations, or versions of life you had to let go of.

If you’ve been feeling “off” lately, there might be more going on beneath the surface and that deserves your attention, not your judgment.

Be gentle with yourself.
Healing doesn’t always announce itself. 🤍

We’re excited to continue our Spotlight Series with Mia Vucurovic 💬

Mia shares some of the more nuanced parts of her work, like learning to sit with uncertainty and resisting the urge to “fix” when there isn’t a clear solution. Instead, she focuses on staying present, attuned, and emotionally available alongside her clients, even in the hardest moments.

She also speaks to the importance of being a steady and reliable presence. For Mia, creating a space that feels safe, consistent, and genuine allows clients to explore more deeply, at their own pace.

Her reflections offer a thoughtful look into what it really means to support someone through uncertainty with care, honesty, and intention.

Before you label your reaction as “too much,” pause and get curious.

Sometimes what we call overreacting is actually:

– unmet needs that have been building
– emotions that haven’t had space to be processed
– experiences that weren’t acknowledged or validated

Your feelings don’t come out of nowhere they carry information.

Instead of minimizing them, try asking:

What’s underneath this reaction?
What might I need right now?

You’re allowed to feel deeply. You’re allowed to take up emotional space.

And you don’t have to shrink your experience to make it more comfortable for others.

If this resonates, therapy can help you explore your emotional patterns with more clarity and self-compassion.

Some days, you can feel grateful and exhausted.

Hopeful and uncertain.
Calm… and overwhelmed.
All at once.

You don’t have to choose just one feeling to make your experience “valid.”

Emotions aren’t linear, they can coexist, overlap, and shift moment to moment.

We hold space for the full complexity of what you’re feeling without judgment, without needing to simplify it.

Because healing doesn’t come from forcing clarity…

It comes from allowing truth.

What you don’t see in therapy…

Beyond the words, there’s attention to pauses, tone, and what remains unspoken.

Patterns are noticed. Emotions are gently tracked. Meaning unfolds over time.

Silence is held with care because it often says more than words.

Therapy is more than listening.
It’s about understanding, witnessing, and making sense of what feels overwhelming.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it’s completely normal to feel unsure, nervous, or even overwhelmed.

Your first session isn’t about having all the answers. It’s simply a space to begin. A space where you can show up as you are, share at your own pace, and start building a connection with your therapist.

You’re allowed to ask questions. You’re allowed to take your time. And you’re allowed to not have everything figured out.

Therapy is a collaboration, not a test. There’s no “right” way to do it, just your way.

✨ Be gentle with yourself as you begin.

Do you ever replay a conversation in your head like 10 times after it’s already over?

Like… “why did I say that?” or “did that sound weird?”

Yeah.

Overthinking has a way of making everything feel bigger than it actually is.
One small moment turns into a full spiral.

And the wild part?
Most people have already moved on… while you’re still stuck in it.

It’s not that you’re “too much” or dramatic.
Your brain is just trying to protect you, from judgment, rejection, or getting it wrong.

But it can get exhausting.

Comment if you do this too. We want to see how many of us deal with this.

Sometimes, children don’t have the words to say “I’m struggling”… but their behavior, emotions, and changes in mood can tell a deeper story.

As parents and caregivers, it can be hard to know what’s going on beneath the surface and even harder to know how to help. That’s where compassionate, professional support can make all the difference.

Karla works with children, youth, and families to create a safe space where feelings can be understood, expressed, and supported. Her approach helps young people build confidence, resilience, and emotional awareness so they can thrive, not just cope.

✨ You don’t have to figure it out alone.
