This morning, I woke up to UN News article, "Deadly bombing of Iran primary school, a grave violation of humanitarian law."
I felt gut punched. My nervous system responded with instant grief and I wanted to scroll past. To go back to my morning routine.
I didn’t. But it took me for a spin. I needed to take time validating my heartache and staying tender in the gravity of it all.
If you're struggling with compassion fatigue, if the news has been making you feel numb and overwhelmed too, take heart, you are not broken.
Your nervous system is trying to protect your human capacity to care.
Today, on Substack (see link in bio), I'm sharing a few words and a free meditation. I hope it helps you feel less alone with the overwhelm of these crazy times.
