According to a 2021 review, BREAST CANCER is the MOST COMMON TYPE OF CANCER among young adults ages 15 to 39. This amounts to THIRTY PERCENT of all cancers in this age group. Additionally, INVASIVE (and usually aggressive) breast cancer diagnoses were in women UNDER 40 years of age.

Many women who are diagnosed with breast cancer DO NOT have a history of breast cancer in their family.
