Moon Milk:

A sleeping potion for kids 😴

- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 tsp raw honey
-1-2 mL of tillia-calm by St. Francis (adjust dose depending on age)
- 1 tsp of butterfly pea powder (optional)

1. Warm milk on the stove
2. Add honey, tincture and pea powder and whisk thoroughly
3. Top with cinnamon if desired

Zinc and copper compete for absorption so if you’re supplementing with zinc you may want to choose a product with zinc and copper.

Examples of products that have both are AOR zinc-copper balance or Now Opti-Zinc.

Calcium and magnesium also compete for absorption. Therefore, if you’ve been advised to take calcium for bone health you may want to take calcium in the morning (along with vitamin D3 & K2)

Here’s how I encourage balance and mindful eating when it comes to Halloween candy 🍬

1. Start with a protein rich meal 🥘 I will most likely do something easy in the crock pot.

2. Have your kids go through the candy and ask them questions to encourage mindfulness

- which one is your favourite?
- do you prefer salty or sweet?

3. Enjoy an herbal tea to help with digestion and sleep such as chamomile or lemon balm.
