Is winter taking a toll on your skin? ❄️ If “moisturizing more” just isn’t cutting it, swipe or read on for 7 tips to keep your skin healthy and glowing this winter ➡️✨

1️⃣ Add Moisture to the Air 🌀 Dry air = dry skin! Add moisture to the air with a humidifier, and through simple things like showering with the door open, air-drying clothes, or even leaving bowls of water out.

2️⃣ Supplement with Vitamin D ☀️ Vitamin D, or “the sunshine vitamin,” is crucial for healthy skin. Vitamin D has been shown to help skin cells grow and repair, improving skin’s protection while slowing aging.

3️⃣ Skip Hot Showers & Baths 🛁  Hot water dries your skin out, stripping it of vital natural oils and moisture. Instead, try lukewarm water, gently pat your skin dry and immediately apply moisturizer.

4️⃣ Hit Your Hydration Goals 💧 Hydration is essential for skin health! It’s recommended to drink a minimum of 2.5 litres of water every day, ensuring that you’re moisturized from the inside out.

If you’re starting at new fitness routine in January here’s somethings to remember:

✨If you’re working out first thing in the morning, your workout is being fuelled by what you ate the night before.

✨ If you’re doing a cardiovascular exercise then focus on hydration in the morning. Make sure you are going into your workout well hydrated with water, electrolytes or coconut water.

✨ If you’re doing weightlifting and you don’t have time to eat beforehand then an essential amino acid supplement can help with muscle repair. An EAA supplement can be added to your water bottle to consume before or during your exercise. Then make sure to have a protein rich meal afterwards.

It’s winter here in the northern hemisphere. ❄️

We are coming out of a busy holiday season. In Ontario we have had quite the winter so far with lots of snow and ice.

Also, many people are getting sick 🤧

So please, do not stress your body out further by starting a detox diet January 1st.
