The Dumbbell Serrano Press is a great exercise that targets the trapezius, posterior rotator cuff and spinal extensor muscles.
The key with performing this exercise correctly is to position your mid chest off the end of the bench and position the arms in a U shape (both arms at your sides with a 90 degree bend).
Start by extending the spine and squeezing the shoulders together.
Then slowly extend the arms into a Y shape. With your arms straight, reach away with the arms to encourage more upward rotation of the shoulder whilst ensuring that you maintain an extended spinal position.
Pause for at least a few seconds at the end position before returning to the start position 😉
