This fall, the Public Health and Preventive Medicine (PHPM) Residency Program at the University of Toronto is piloting a half-day Enriching Educational Experience (EEE).
Who: This opportunity is for pre-clerkship medical students at the University of Toronto.
What: Meet PHPM specialists who are leaders in the field. This is a chance to learn about topical public health issues, the nature of the work, the lifestyle, challenges and opportunities in the field.
When:
Med-Year 1: Wednesday, November 7, 2018 @ (9am-12pm with lunch 12pm-12:30pm)
Med-Year 2: Tuesday, October 16, 2018 @ (1pm-4pm with coffee break)
Where:
Med-Year 1: Public Health Ontario, 661 University Avenue
Med-Year 2: Toronto Public Health, 44 Victoria Street, Toronto
How to apply: Please submit a brief personal essay (max. 300 words) describing why you would like to participate in this EEE half-day. Please indicate your name and year (i.e., med-year 1 or 2) and submit your essay to phpm.progasst@utoronto.ca by 12pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018.
