🚽✨ When little bodies struggle with big problems like constipation, incontinence or pelvic pain, it can impact so much more than just the bathroom.

At Body Co Health & Wellness, our pediatric pelvic floor physiotherapist helps kids feel comfortable, confident, and in control — using gentle, non-invasive techniques designed especially for children.

💡 In our latest blog, we break down exactly what happens during a pediatric pelvic floor physiotherapy assessment — from posture and movement analysis to simple strategies for improving bladder and bowel health at home.

Are you leaving thousands of dollars on the table?

Many Canadians are when they fail to use valuable health benefits that they've both worked and paid for before the end of the year.

While you think you might be putting them to good use, because so few of us actually read our benefit plans you may not know that the following options continue to be underused:

🧦 Support wear and braces including compression socks and leggings with back support
🤱🏻 Nursing supplies including supportive nursing bras
🧖🏽‍♀️ Skin treatments that address aging and changes in skin with natural alternatives and acupuncture
💆🏽 Therapeutic massage for both relaxation and deep tissue repair
💗 Nervous system support including our upcoming Fatigue to flow workshop with our Naturopath

Have questions on how we can help? Reach out to any member of our team.

A note from Dr. Margot

I used to think I could just push through exhaustion — that if I ate well, took my supplements, and stayed productive, I was “doing everything right.”

But underneath it all, my body was whispering for something else — stillness, space, and reconnection.

That’s what changed everything.

When I finally started working with my nervous system instead of fighting it, my energy came back and my hormones balanced — not from doing more, but from learning to feel safe slowing down.

That’s the energy I want for you too.

If you’re tired of quick fixes and craving something that feels more intuitive, my upcoming From Fatigue to Flow workshop was made for you.

You’ll spend three hours reconnecting with your body through:

📖 Guided journaling to process and release emotions
🧘🏽‍♀️ Meditation to restore calm and clarity
🙇🏾‍♀️ Group acupuncture + Reiki to reset your energy

It’s a gentle, grounding space to get out of your head and back into your body — and past participants have described it as “exactly what I needed,” “a reset I didn’t know I was craving,” and “the first time I truly felt calm in weeks.”

Saturday, November 16th at 10am. Spots are limited to 8 participants to keep it intimate.

Understanding Your Triggers is the First Step to Emotional Freedom

Have you ever found yourself reacting before you even know why?
That’s your nervous system doing its job — protecting you — but it doesn’t always serve you well in the moment.

Learning to map your emotional triggers and regulate your response isn’t about controlling emotions; it’s about understanding them.

In our latest blog, we explore:
✨ What emotional regulation actually means
🧠 The 4-step “State-Shifting” framework to calm your system
💬 How to move from reacting → responding
💪 Why awareness builds confidence, clarity, and stronger relationships

You’re not meant to be unbothered — you’re meant to be aware.

👆️ This is me. 32 weeks pregnant 🤰🏻with my second child.

During my first pregnancy I shied away from exercise. I moved my body very cautiously only to feel absolutely terrible and side lined, unable to truly sit or stand for too long, 6-weeks deep into caring for a newborn.

The second time around I thought I might approach it differently. I moved with purpose, training for the physical nature of motherhood that no one ever tells you about. I lifted weights, I brought my heart rate up and I focused on the mobility and strength I need to carry my son and deliver him into the world.

While I researched this more deeply and worked with a perinatal coach, I learned just how much my movement was benefitting him as well as me.

We know now that exercise is essential for a healthy pregnancy but it turns out it also has a pretty big impact on the health of our kids.

Swipe through to learn the 5 things I didn't know I was doing for my son while I took care of myself.

Need help establishing a movement routine for you and your family?

Send me a DM and I'll send you more information about how we build safe, evidence based exercise plans in our perinatal clinical community.
