Many people think all massage is the same, but Registered Massage Therapy is different.
In Ontario, Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are regulated healthcare protessionals. They complete extensive education and clinical training in anatomy, physiology, and pathology. They are licensed by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and are trained to work intentionally with the body.
Massage Therapy isn't about a one-size-fits-all experience.
Each session is guided by assessment, clinical knowledge of anatomy and movement, and your individual goals. Techniques are chosen with purpose — to help reduce specific tension or pain, ease muscle tension, improve mobility, and support healing.
While Massage Therapy can feel deeply relaxing, relaxation is often a result of effective treatment, not the sole goal. When the body is properly supported and tension is addressed, the nervous system naturally begins to settle.
Registered Massage Therapy is designed to treat — not just soothe — and to help the body function better over time.
