Hello Dear Ones,

Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you well and that the year ahead is already off to a bright start. I truly feel that 2025 is going to be an amazing year for all of us, and I’m excited to share some truly special news with you.

On January 19th, we will be celebrating a major milestone—our 10-year anniversary of Wholistic Care Centers! This is such a significant moment for us, and I couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you who has been part of our journey.

As I reflect on the past decade, I can’t help but remember when the vision for the first center was born. I was working at the Herbal Clinic and Dispensary on Roncesvalles, in a small room with a cozy but dim interior. After seven years, I realized I had outgrown that space and dreamed of something more—a place filled with natural light, a healing energy, and a welcoming environment where people could feel truly supported. I envisioned a space where health practitioners could collaborate with medical professionals to provide the best care possible for our clients, all while nurturing a connection to nature, even within the city.

That dream was realized, and it still feels like a miracle how it all came together. I hope to share the full story with you one day, but for now, I want you to know that every detail was carefully created with love and intention. The sacred geometry posters under the floor, the healing frequency music that fills the air, the colors, crystals, and prayers—everything was designed to support healing on a deep level. And most importantly, we have built an incredible community of kind and caring practitioners, each of whom I am so proud to work alongside.

I’m beyond thrilled that we offer such a wide range of services to meet the needs of our community—from naturopathy to Chinese medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, psychotherapy, and much more. Together, we’ve been able to help so many people along their wellness journeys, and for that, I am deeply thankful to all of you. Your trust, support, and kind words about our center mean the world to us.

While we are distracted with elections Health Canada is making some changes on obtaining supplements in Canada.

-> Many brands you use will see dramatic price increases or stop existing in Canada altogether. 1/5 brands said they are seriously considering leaving Canada.

-> Complicated and unnecessary changes will force brands to evaluate their product line and drop products that are too expensive or unprofitable, resulting in less variety. In a recent survey, over 70% of brands said they would have to pull product from market if changes go through.

->Small, local businesses that cannot afford to navigate increasingly complex regulations and lengthy approval processes will be priced out of business. 83% of companies said it will be challenging to absorb the costs of these changes.

-> New regulations are increasing the amount of packaging (for the same amount of product), reduce recyclability, adversely impacting the environment.
