1) Tina Dawson, owner of Nuova Pelle Cosmetic Clinic, has been in the industry for more than 8 years. Prior to opening her business she was a certified dental assistant. Tina worked along side one of Toronto’s top dentists, Dr Lion Berzin, who is a specialist in dental implants and other cosmetic procedures. Tina has also worked along side Dr Rob Coutts MD CCFP BSC, who is well known for cosmetic procedures. Tina has earned her diploma in advanced medical aesthetics and is trained with Sigmacon, Syneron, Clarion, Derma Spark, Light Zone technologies. Tina has experience working with many skin care lines across Canada, the United States, Italy, and France. She is known for her expertise and passion for the industry and implementing her clients with the best protocols possible and using high quality products. Continuously educating herself, Tina is attending seminars, lectures, and courses to keep both her and her clients informed of new advanced procedures and answering all clients needs. Tina is always making sure her clients are relaxed, comfortable and walking out with a smile!

2) Dr. Rob Coutts has always been keenly interested in skin care and the beauty industry– even now, you’re more likely to catch him reading Vogue than the New England Journal of Medicine. A trained artist with experience with everything from drawing, painting and sculpture to makeup artistry, Dr. Coutts has unique skills both visually and technically that come together beautifully to make his clients look and feel their very best. SPF Medical Grade Vs. Over the counter. Over-the-counter sunscreens usually do not contain as many active ingredients as medical grade, with only the 70% pure ingredients required by the FDA. Instead, OTC brands contain inactive compounds, fragrances and preservatives. This leaves you with less sun protection.

Pharmaceutical grade sunscreen must contain 99.9% pure active ingredients. It also has to be backed up by scientific research, and must have been proven beneficial for the skin. In other words, you get your moneys worth with real medical grade sun protection because it has the ingredients that make it work. I love the brand due their high quality formulation with antioxidants and carry various SPF custom to your skin type.

*NOTE. never leave SPF in high temperatures as it can be less effective.
