The new FHO+ model brings important enhancements to how family physicians are compensated, including updated funding streams and new patient attachment incentives designed to improve access to care.

Under this model:
- Established physicians will receive $100–$180 per new rostered patient, based on RIO score and patient age.
- New graduates will receive $150–$270 per patient to help build their roster and support early career growth.

These bonuses are effective from July 1st 2025, and more information from the OMA will be released on how and when these bonuses will be paid out.

Meet Jillian Jacala, our Physicians Initiative Groups Manager!

As a key member of our Groups Management team, Jillian plays an essential role in supporting FHO groups across Ontario. From helping physicians transition into the FHO model to adding new members and locums, she ensures each group is set up for long-term success.

Jillian also monitors group performance, keeping a close eye on Access Bonus metrics and roster management, helping physicians understand the numbers behind their results. With a strong background in overseeing individual practices, she brings a unique perspective: offering thoughtful advice that bridges both group and solo practice operations.

Her proactive approach, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to helping doctors thrive make her an invaluable part of the DoctorCare family.

We had a wonderful time participating in the 2025 OSCAR Pro User Day alongside our partners from the WELLSTAR family - for the second year in a row!

This event was an excellent opportunity to connect with healthcare providers, exchange meaningful insights, and explore new ways to strengthen our support for the healthcare community.
