Letter from the Chair, Lu Han:
"With recent changes unfolding at the national association level, I want to take a moment to reaffirm something essential: the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) is, and remains, the only association dedicated exclusively to advocating for occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants in Ontario.
While national organizations serve an important role across Canada, this news further highlights no national body can replace the work that must happen here, with Ontario decision-makers, on Ontario issues, for Ontario therapy providers. Your OSOT membership ensures that your voice is represented where it matters most: inside Ontario’s health, education, social, and regulatory systems. Decisions are made at the provincial level and advocacy must take place provincially.
OSOT’s mandate is clear:
We are in Ontario, for Ontario. Our advocacy is targeted, strategic, and directly tied to the policies, funding decisions, and structures that affect your daily practice."
