From time to time, APAA joins forces with Fort York Food Bank (FYDB) to support their incredible meal program — and our volunteers have been stepping up with heart and dedication!

Together, we help prepare meals that are later distributed to individuals and families in need within our community. It's a small act that carries a big impact — reminding us that kindness and care go a long way.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers who continue to show up and serve when it matters most. You are the soul of this work!

We had an incredible time at APAA’s Volunteer Orientation and Training! It was inspiring to see so many passionate individuals come together, ready to make a difference in our community.

From learning about our mission and values to diving into hands-on training, our new volunteers are now fully equipped and energized to serve. Whether you're here to give back, gain experience, or be part of something meaningful — welcome to the APAA family!

APAA is proud to volunteer at Bingo—with the support of our amazing volunteers who assist in managing the premises, welcoming guests, and maintaining cleanliness through general sanitization.

This initiative not only helps us raise funds for our programs but also creates a valuable opportunity to engage with community members, share information about APAA, and build lasting connections.

A big thank you to our volunteers and supporters for making this work meaningful and impactful!

At St. James Cathedral, APAA continues to engage community members each week during the hot meals drop-in—offering harm reduction training, tools, and kits in a safe, supportive space.

In addition, our Harm Reduction Mobile Outreach team takes to the streets, providing quick (15 minutes or less) yet impactful harm reduction education and resources directly to those who need it. The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive and filled with gratitude.

We're proud to meet people where they are—both physically and in their journey. Thank you to our dedicated team, volunteers, and supporters for making this possible!

Africans in Partnership Against AIDS (APAA) proudly marched in the historic Pride 2025 Parade alongside our dedicated staff, volunteers, and community members!

This powerful event was more than a celebration—it was an opportunity to engage in healthy conversations on s*xual health, harm reduction, HIV prevention and testing strategies. We also handed out and educated the public on safer s*x materials to support informed, empowered choices.

A heartfelt thank you to our funders, supporters, and everyone who made this moment possible. Together, we’re creating lasting impact! 🌈
