We were delighted to host MP Jean Yip, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility, MPP Raymond Cho, MPP Aris Babikian, Raghav Monga representing MPP Andrea Hazell at Shepherd Village Inc. on a tour led by our President & CEO Wendy Beckles. This was a great opportunity to meet with our residents and staff during our recent LTC Community Engagement Day. It was also a chance to get a firsthand feel of the innovations around our home, and to discuss the challenges we face and where support is needed. We are proud to showcase the dedication, compassion, and creativity that make our community such a special place to live and work.

Shepherd Village Inc. is proud to be recognized as a Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)!
Thanks to the incredible work of our staff across all departments, we have implemented seven Best Practice Guidelines to enhance care and safety for our residents.
We marked this milestone with a Village-wide celebration filled with music, joy, and the introduction of our BPSO mascot, Watson Shepherd.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing team, our BPSO Champions, Lodge nursing leadership and our President & CEO Wendy Beckles, for their leadership and dedication.
We also thank Dr. Doris Grinspun, RNAO CEO, MP Jean Yip, MPP Andrea Hazell, and Jason Leung, representing MPP Aris Babikian, for joining us in celebration.

A group of 20 children from Chinese Scarborough Baptist Church visited Terrace to minister to the residents. They presented a one-hour program that featured music, games, testimonies, and prayers. We would like to express our gratitude to Rev. Amy Yu, Pastor of The Next Generation Ministry at SCBC, for blessing us with her ministry.

Nothing beats cool lemonade, cookies, and good company! At the Lemonade Social, we enjoyed snacks, had great conversations, and played a fun game called Name That Cake together.

We came together for a special evening at the Memorial Garden to unveil and dedicate the plaque honouring the names of our loved ones who have passed. Our garden is not just a peaceful spot to relax; it is a meaningful place that keeps the memory of those we cherish alive.

On Saturday, we took a fun trip to St. Lawrence Market with our grocery lists in hand and a hunger for fresh, delicious food 🍎🥦🍞. We were joined by our incredible volunteers, a kind and friendly bus driver, and our President & CEO Wendy Beckles. We laughed, talked, and had a great time reminiscing about how much the market has changed and all the goodies we picked up.
